RCIA Do you know someone curious about the Catholic Church? RCIA meets Monday, July 24th. Do you know someone who just wants to
ask questions, or is interested in joining the Catholic Church? Make plans to invite that person, and come on July 24th in the undercroft at 6:30pm. To recognize the fifth Sunday in July, the Knights of Columbus will be leading the Ro-sary 20 minutes before each Mass next weekend (July 29th and 30th).
Care Notes Will Soon Be Gone The “Care Notes’, which have been in the entry way racks
since the ‘90’s, will not longer be available. Abbey Press, the publisher, has gone out of business. They are looking for a buyer but as of now there will be no more published. It is a
sad event because the Notes were so well received. Hopefully we can find a replacement.

for Sunday, August 20th immediately after
11:00 Mass, with the school also doing a celebration on
Monday the 21st, the actual day of the eclipse. See the
flyer in the bulletin for more details. The planning
committee is meeting weekly on Monday evenings at

A Summer Workshop: Praying Through the Arts

Jefferson City Prayer is how we experience, communicate with, and are in relationship with God. How’s that working for you right now? Is your prayer life what you are hoping for? Art can be a wonderful way of communicating with God beyond words. Art can train the senses to perceive life in an extraordinary way. Icon writer, William McNichols, shares that art “will at times create an at-mosphere inside you to receive something new from God.” Join us as we spend one Saturday morning exploring new ways to create this inner atmosphere. We will look at prayer in song and music, photographic or digital art, and fine art. Father Mat-thew Flatley will guide participants in contemplative prayer with selected artworks. Art major and liturgical decorator, Mark Siev-ers, will share ideas on using art to create a sacred space in your own environment. Light refreshments will be served. LADIES’ LUNCHEON Ladies’ Luncheon is Wednesday, July 26th in the Undercroft. There will be a Communion Service at noon, followed by lunch. Everyone please bring a dish to share.
