ISKL SEA Forensics
Charity Night Sports Day
On the 18th to 20th of February, a group of students participated in the 38th ISKL SEA Forensics hosted by the International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL). The students worked hard and practised for several weeks to participate in this competition, and in the end it was all worth it. Many of our students made it into the semi-finals, and some even made into the finals. One of our duet teams even took home the bronze medals for Duet Acting with their script entitled "Let's Pretend This Never Happened" by Jenny Lawson. We look forward to the 39th ISKL SEA Forensics which will take place next year and we hope to see more of our talented students trying out and winning next year.
Acting is a very personal process. It has to do with expressing your own
personality, and discovering the character you're playing through your own
experience - so we're all different. {Ian Mckellen}

Confidence may not bring success, but
it gives power to face any
challenge.
There is no winning without hard work
On the 20th of February, the students of WMSKL (I) gathered at the Panasonic Stadium for the
Annual Athletics Meet. For the past two months, all students had put in their best efforts to
improve him or herself for this day.
The day began with the opening ceremony. The march-past contingents trooped around the
track, each one saluting as they reached the grandstand. This was followed by speeches and
the officiating of the Athletics Meet by the Guest of Honour, Dr Mahendra and our Principal,
Mdm Chia.
The cheerleading started immediately after the marching ended. Every house showed their
spirit and determination to win with well-executed routines. Following that, the track events
started. All the races were very well participated in.
At last, the final tally of marks was disclosed. The Green House was the overall champion
house for the Athletics Meet 2016. However, every student was a winner in his or her own
right. We hope that next year's Athletics Meet will continue to uphold the standard of sports
and spirit of sportsmanship in Wesley.

Amazing Race
“The participants were lost in the realm
but through their determination they
successfully found the key out of the
realm.” This year the LEO Club of Wesley
Methodist School Kuala Lumpur
(International) held their annual Amazing
Race around KL. This year’s theme was
“The Lost Realm” and the race was held
on the 12th of March from 7.30 a.m. till
1.30 p.m. At 7.30 a.m, registration was
open and each team received a goodie
bag and event T-shirts. After the opening
sketch and the flag off by Madam Pearl
Moses, the Deputy Principal, the
participants took off.
More than a hundred groups participated
and each group consisted of three
members. The participants were given an
opportunity to travel around Kuala
Lumpur and explore the urban city. By
using the LRT, participants were able to
move around easily from one station to
another. At each station, participants
were required to apply some critical
thinking skills in order to solve the
challenges at hand.
All the participants tried their best and
had a lot of fun together. Through this
race, the participants were able to form
bonds and make new friends as well as
strengthen their teamwork skills.
WINNERS are not people who never
fail but people who NEVER quit

illness. Jon Liddell and Jenn Chia, social
