    Goal: To place legal fellows in organizations throughout the country to provide legal services to crime victims.

  • Purpose Area 1 – Financial Information

    o Two funding sources:

    Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) – about $2,850,000.

    Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA), approx. $1,150,000. Only to support anti-trafficking services – exclude TTA or project evaluation.

    o

    Organizations that host Trafficking Fellows (whole/partly) with TVPA funds must demonstrate history of providing services to human trafficking (HT) victims.

    o One award, of up to $4 M(approx. $3.1 M for fellows)

    Experience: training, technical assistance, public awareness activities, technology.

    Capacity to partner with organizations and key stakeholders to deliver legal services to victims.

    o Entity – possess staff, resources, and capability to develop or enhance a model for service delivery.

    o Area to be served: rural or rural community, with demonstrated need for legal services.

    Competitively select, and manage, 3 rural sites to ultimately increase comprehensive, holistic, legal services to crime victims. Assist sites in developing an implementation plan to respond to victims’ needs.

    Collaborate with sites to identify uses of technology and innovation to better facilitate the delivery of legal services.
