Minisprints
1. All meetings will be run using the Speedway NZ Rule book. This includes all general car rules,
racing, licence rules etc.
2. All cars must be registered to Speedway NZ and their local track.
3. All cars must be at the track, ready to race at least one hour and thirty minutes before the
start of racing.
4. If the class is asked to complete wheel packing, hot laps or any track prep, drivers MUST be
involved in this.
5. Transmitters must be used at all Oval Superstar events.
6. All cars must comply with all SNZ Minisprint Class Rules and random checks may be made on
cars on the grid or straight after races.
7. All starts will happen in a GO ZONE. This will be two flour lines on the exit of turn four. Once
the first two front cars are in this zone at the same time, the green lights and flags will signal
the start of the race. The whole car of both the front row drivers MUST be in this zone at the
same time.
8. All cars must display the official Oval Superstars Tour decals, or any other designated decals
to be eligible for any tour prizes presented by Oval Superstars. There may be a particular
placement for these decals and if you cannot fulfil this, please talk to an Oval Superstars
official.
9. Any prize/travel money available for each round will be paid out by each track as per a
normal event night. This amount will be decided by each individual track as they see fit. The
tour is designed to add value to their night, promote the Minisprint class and not demand
too highly from promotion teams. You must fill in your details in full on their sign in card or
any additional information they may require. Additional prizes may be awarded at any time
by Oval Superstars.
10. Any additional proposed Oval Superstars Tour regulations may be submitted to Oval
Superstars via email to [email protected] and must have the support of at least
two official Oval Superstars Tour drivers. These will then be looked over by tour officials and
any additional regulations will be posted officially online via www.ovalsuperstars.com
11. Abuse in any physical, verbal, racing or online form towards any Oval Superstars officials,
drivers, crews, fans, or track staff will not be tolerated at any time. Serious cases will be
reported to Speedway NZ by Oval Superstars in addition to any action the track may take.
12. Drivers that are not registered to the Oval Superstars Tour will NOT be turned away from
competing in any tour event but will not be eligible for any prizes, points or related bonus’
presented by Oval Superstars.
13. Although you are registering to the tour, you must also tell us before each round whether or
not you will be competing. You can do this via a reply to TXT to your class reo, email or our
online website entry at www.ovalsuperstars.com

Nightly Formats & Regulations
1. Standard Oval Superstars Format:
Heat One: Heat one grids will be decided via a marble draw where the drivers will pick a number and
start in that position.
Heat Two: Grids from heat one will be reversed making sure each driver has now had an even
chance of making the same points.
Main Event: Points from the first two heats add together to create sub-totals for each driver.
The points are ordered highest points to lowest points.
Top Six Split - The TOP SIX drivers then decide where they would like to start the main event. Either
choose to go for the race win, or go for the passing points and possibly the win too. If anyone is tied
on points affecting the Top Six Split they will be sorted firstly by best Heat result or secondly their
fastest lap of the night.
First in points picks where they start the Main Event followed by the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th
drivers. The rest of the drivers fill the grids left in order of their sub-total points, highest to lowest.

Rest of the cars into a Last Chance Dash. Extra cars will transfer from this to the Main Event.
