The recall affects vehiclesbuilt between February andOctober 2016. Tesla says fewerthan 5 per cent of the vehiclesit is recalling may be affected, but it wants to inspect them allto make sure.
The vehicles may contain asmall gear that was manufac-tured improperly by a supplier. If the gear breaks, the parkingbrake could become stuck inplace. The normal brakes arenot affected by the problem.
PARENTS WIN ALLAH FIGHTOFFICIALS in Atlanta, Georgia have granted a couple’s request to issue a birth certificate giving their toddler daughter the surname “Allah” after earlier refusing to do so because neither parent had the name.
While some hailed it a victory for free expression, a Muslim group criticised the use of the Arabic word for “God” as culturally insensitive.
Elizabeth Handy and BilalWalk’s daughter, ZalyKha Graceful Lorraina Allah, who will soon turn two, already has two siblings with the surname “Allah”.

OUTER suburbs outshoneMelbourne’s blue-chip post-codes for median house pricegrowth last year.
Rockbank in the west andClyde North in the southeastrocketed to No.1 and No.3 onthe list of strongest-perform-ing suburbs in the year toJanuary. Rockbank’s medianhouse price soared 47.5 percent to $281,500, according tothe latest CoreLogic data.

Affordable housing, new es-tates and improving infrastruc-ture have lured buyers to thecity’s outer reaches where saleshave boomed.
However, CoreLogic headof research Cameron Kushersaid some huge leaps in me-
ned new amenities at Mirvac’sWoodlea estate at Rockbankwere drawing buyers in andgiving the area new life.
“It’s always been a stagnantarea, there are no shopping fa-cilities there, you had to go toCaroline Springs or Melton,”he said. “Having that Woodleadevelopment move forwardquickly with a lot of parks hasattracted a lot of people. There’s no shopping centre yetin Woodlea but there are plansfor a town centre, so obviouslypeople are moving in now be-cause they can see, long-term,once the centre goes up theprices will go up too.”
John and Pritika Naidumoved into their house inWoodlea estate at the end oflast year.
“I’ve got a nearly three-year-old daughter and anotheron the way so we were lookingfor something that had young-family values and that sense ofcommunity,” Mr Naidu said. [email protected]

dian prices in growth suburbsreflected a supply of new hous-ing. “Previous medians arebased upon existing stock, which is of a lower quality anda lower price, while the newstock is a much better qualityand higher price, which exac-erbates the growth,” he said.
Advantage Property Con-sulting director Frank Valenticsaid the top suburbs for me-dian price growth showed achanging of the guard.
“Five years ago it wouldhave only been inner suburbs.Blue-chip areas would havetaken most of the top 10 spots,”he said. “The ripple effect is re-ally having a big effect as hous-ing affordability pushes peoplefurther out.”
Mr Valentic said City ofMelton suburbs had notnotched strong growth overthe past 10 years.
