Nutritional Requirements for Healthy Living and Physical Activity

Keeping healthy involves being physically active, eating a variety of nutritious tasty foods and developing a good understanding of physical health.

Nutrition is the process of obtaining energy from food and drink for body growth and maintenance. Food is necessary for the body to function and good nutrition involves choosing the right foods and quantities to satisfy individual needs.

There is a strong link between dietary intake and health and many diseases are directly related to diet and lifestyle. The best way to prepare for a long and healthy life is to get in the habit of eating a tasty, varied diet to help prevent lifestyle diseases such as heart disease.
