On Tuesday, February 21, 2012 Lillian Feinstein Elementary School at Sacket Street opens its’ doors during winter vacation week to students grades K-2 to welcome them to “Out of This

World Space Camp.”

THE MORNING BEGINS…

Students begin each morning with a heart – healthy breakfast and a morning exercise led by AmeriCorps

At the end of the week students were asked to finish the statement: “The earth is special because…” Then, they were asked to draw their answer to

the following question, “Why is earth special to me?”

IT TAKES A VILLAGE

On the last day of winter camp parents, friends, family, and community members are

invited into Lillian Feinstein Elementary at Sackett Street to see what students have been working on over winter vacation and

also, to learn about parent engagement and tips for reading with children.
