On the coast we have many beaches

They are perfect for surfing

We have As Forcadas dam

An artificial lake where we practice sailing and canooing

In Valdoviño there is one of the most important lagoons in Galicia

It’s an ecologic Natural Reserve for birds

Our climate is Atlantic

It’s warm and wet

And usually very windy

The average temperature is higher

than 13º C

The minima temperatures are in January and February

And the top temperatures are in midsummer

Rain levels are moderate

We enjoy very beautiful sunsets.

The number of inhabitants is around 6.800 people

But the population concentrates mainly in the coast

Been smaller at the inland

In the Primary Sector (extraction)

The main area includes wood explotations

And cattle raising

The Secondary Sector (manufacturing)

is based mainly in Building Activities

The Tertiary Sector (services and bussiness) increased a lot

and the reason is the consolidation of Valdoviño as a second residence area for the

summer
