ST. PAUL’S COMMUNION STATEMENT: Our Lord Jesus graciously shares with us His body and blood to forgive our sins, assure us of salvation, strengthen our faith, and unite us as members of His church. We believe:

That we are sinful human beings in need of forgiveness;

That the Lord’s Body and Blood are truly present in the bread and wine which He offers us;

That through the sacrament we are forgiven of our sins;

and strengthened to live as God’s people. If you share our faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, we invite you to join us at His table. If you do not wish to take communion, you are invited to cross your arms over your chest and re-ceive a blessing from the Pastor. If you have any questions, please consult the Pastor or a Lay Minister.

COME AS YOU ARE Welcome to St. Paul Lutheran Church! We are a community of believers from all walks of life, who face all kinds of daily struggles and challenges. We don’t have all the answers, but we know the One who does. We don’t always get things right, but by God’s grace we follow the One who never sinned. We are not perfect people, just forgiven people, and you’ll fit in just as you are! You don’t need to bring the perfect clothes or the perfect smile or the perfect family…just yourself, with all your questions or hurts or scars, and let Jesus take it from there!

Traveling Light – Letting Go of Life’s Baggage This series is based on the book Traveling Light: Releasing the Burdens You Were Never Intended to Bear by Max Lucado, which walks through Psalm 23 for a devotional reflection on how God’s promises help us let go of all the ‘baggage’ of life. Our series will cover 6 weeks, walking verse by verse through this beloved Psalm.

Pastoral Visitation Pastor Ernesto Garcia, our Visitation Pastor, is an important part of the Ministry Team at St. Paul. If you or a loved one is admitted to the hospital or a care facility, or is unable to come to church because of an extended illness or other circumstances, please call Pastor Garcia at 956-682-4697 (home) or 956-270-2272 (cell). He will be happy to make arrangements for a pastoral visit.

Sermon: Letting Go Of Doubt Text: Psalm 23:6

The grace of Jesus never ends and will never stop pursuing us!

One final bag to set down – the baggage of ________________.

David had many ________________ in life, but he was ______________

that God’s mercy _______________ him.

We see throughout Scripture that God’s ___________ for

His people is _______________________.

The same is true for us!

We are never _____ ___ ____________ for God’s grace.

No doubts or mistakes can _________ God’s grace from being

able to ____________ us down.

By the ___________ of Jesus, not even _____________ itself can stop

God’s grace for us!
