Python Racing TeamSummer Road Race9:30 am Sunday 12th August 2012

The race will be neutralised from the HQ to the circuit proper. Riders shouldassemble behind the lead cars and when instructed proceed through HolyportGreen to the A330 Bracknell Road. The race will continue in neutralised formationfor approximately two miles until reaching and crossing the roundabout atHawthorn Hill (marshalled). This is the start of the circuit proper and the race willbe deneutralised shortly afterwards. The route continues on the A330 throughMaidens Green crossroads and Winkfield until reaching Cranbourne where the roadbecomes the B3022. The lap board will be located by Crouch Lane in Cranbourneand will read NINE laps to go at the race’s first passage. Proceed to the far end ofCranbourne where turn left onto Drift Road (marshalled). The race carries on alongthe entire length of Drift Road to the roundabout at Hawthorn Hill where ridersshould turn left onto the A330 to complete the circuit. Lap distance is approximatelynine miles. On the completion of nine laps at the lap board in Cranbourne, ridersshould turn into Crouch Lane. The finish will be located approximately 400 yardsalong Crouch Lane. There are wide grass verges adjoining the finish area andspectators are requested to park with consideration for the riders, race judges and other road users.

NO PARKING TO TAKE PLACE ON THE ROAD ITSELF ALONG CROUCH LANETo return to the HQ from the finish area, riders should continue to the end of CrouchLane and turn right into Winkfield Lane to re-join Drift Road. Continue along DriftRoad for about a mile and take the signposted turn for Fifield. Turn left at Fifieldcrossroads and stay on this road for 1.5 miles and take a right for Moneyrow Greenat an island junction. The HQ is located on the left-hand side after a short distance.

The race HQ is easily accessible from Junction 8/9 of the M4. After leaving the motorway take the A308 (M) signposted exit in the direction of Windsor andMaidenhead. On reaching a roundabout take the 4th exit, the A330 Bracknell road, and continue crossing the M4 to Holyport Green where turn left and firstright into Moneyrow Green Road. The HQ is located a few hundred yards along here on the right-hand side.

There is ample parking available in the car park immediately outside the HQ butshould it also be necessary to park along the road then please do so on the hallside only. Any parking across residents' driveways must be avoided.

Riders notes // Python Road Race 12.08.10

No feeding should be undertaken along the entire length of Drift Road and ridersare requested to exercise common sense as to where they take feed on boardelsewhere on the circuit. Helpers must not interfere with the passage of the race or of other road traffic when feeding their riders. Feeding to be carried out from left hand side only.

We shall have race service available on the day courtesy Grant Phillips. Ridersare requested to supply spare wheels to the service vehicle at the HQ ahead ofthe race start.

PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF ENCOUNTERING HORSES ON THECIRCUIT. The area surrounding the circuit is popular with horseriders and whilstevery effort has been taken to contact riding yards and raise awareness of theevent taking place, competitors should nevertheless be prepared to exercisecaution should they encounter any horses during the course of the event.

An approved cycle helmet must be worn – no helmet = no ride.

Signing on for the event closes at 9:10 am. The organiser reserves the right to charge for a day licence should a competitor be unable to produce a currentBritish Cycling racing licence.

Any complaints regarding this promotion should be made in writing to theorganiser at the address given within 48 hours of the event taking place.
