Our Solar System is an exciting place

The sun is a star and its full of gas. It is at the heart of our solar system.

The earth is called an ocean planet because there is life.

Venus has more volcanoes than any other planet in our system. It’s called earth's evil twin.

Mercury. Closest to the sun, smaller than earth and a rocky planet.

Mars. It is called the red planet because the ground is red.

Saturn. It has dust and ice rings around it.

Jupiter and it’s moons. It is the biggest planet in our solar system.

Uranus is the farthest planet from earth and the first to be discovered.

Pluto is furthest away from the sun and known as a dwarf planet because it is small.

Neptune was discovered in 1846.
