Our Singapore Trip9 April – 12 April, 2009

During Easter, we went to Singapore for four days. We were very excited! We took this photo at Kowloon Airport Express Station with our families.

We all got a boarding pass. It is a ticket to get on the airplane.

I am chatting with the flight attendant on the airplane. Her job is to serve us food and drinks. Do you think she is pretty?

This was our lunch on the airplane. It was yummy.

On our first day in Singapore, we went sight-seeing on the Duck Tour. The machine can go on the road and the river!

On the Duck Tour, saw the Merlion mama and the Merlion baby.

This was our favorite food in Singapore! It is Hainanese Chicken Rice.

On our second day, we went to the Singapore Zoo. We saw a lot of special animals. This is Ms. Lam taking a photo with the parrots!

This is a mousedeer. It looks like a mouse but it is not a mouse! It is also not a deer! Do you think it is cute?

These are White Tigers. They are endangered. There are not many left in the world.

We saw the Proboscis Monkey. It has a long nose and a long tail.

At the zoo, we watched a show called “Rainforest Fights Back.” The show is about a bad man who wants to cut down the rainforest to make money. After the show, we took a photo with the cast and the snake!

At the zoo, we went to the Rainforest Kidzworld to play with water. It was very fun! We wore raincoats so we did not get wet!

On the third day, we took the cable car to Sentosa Island. It’s a famous island in Singapore. There are many things to do there.cable car

This is the Merlion papa at Sentosa. You can go up to its mouth and its head.

At Sentosa, we played at the beach.

Do you know what we are making?

A sandcastle

or

a pig?

This is Fort Siloso at Sentosa. Many soldiers lived here to protect Singapore in the second world war.

These are models. They are checking for enemies. They made loud bomb noises. We were very scared here!

We learned about the Chinese people who came to Singapore a long time ago. They were very poor but hardworking. They lived in places that were very small and crowded like this.

On the fourth day, we learned about Singapore’s culture. This is at the Chinatown Heritage Centre.

I am asking a man for directions here. He was very helpful.

We had a wonderful time in Singapore. We spoke a lot of English, too! We hope you enjoyed our photos. Thank you!
