She comes to us with experience in many facets of the fieldof entertainment, including summer stock, dinner theater, childrenstheater, touring repertory, television, video and recording. Pat isalso a playwrite. Her one-act 'So Much Personality' was producedon the East Coast. Locally, Pat has been seen as Fauna in 'PipeDream' for the 42nd Street Moon in San Francisco, as MaggieJones in '42nd Street' for San Jose Civic Light Opera, for which she won a Ginny asthe 'Outstanding Female Performer 1994/95', Stella Deems in 'Follies' with ContraCosta Musical Theater, Mary Moody in 'God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater' with the ActorsEnsemble of Berkeley, and Sarraghina in the California Theater Arts Production of'Nine'. Pat gratefully acknowledges the encouragement of her voice teacher, InaKraus.

BEN KANTER - Herbie. Back with us again for the start of our31 st season, Ben has taken the role of Herbie, Mama Rose'slong-suffering and patient beau. RACHEL WILLIAMS - Louise. This delightful young lady is new toWVLOA. She is a sophomore at Los Gatos High School and luck-ily just loves 'to do shows more than anything.' The acting bug 'bither' in fifth grade when Rachel played the Wicked Witch in TheWizard of Oz'. Since then, in the last three years, she hasappeared in 'Annie' as Miss Hannigan; in 'Charlotte's Web' asCharlotte; 'Pollyanna' in the title role; 'A Midsummer Night'sDream' as Peaseblossom; 'West Side Story' as Francesca and in'42nd Street' as a member of the demi-chorus. Helping hands inthese endeavors have been voice lessons with Ina Kraus and jazz and basic dancelessons with Marie Stinnett. Rachel would like to thank her Mom and Dad for all theirsupport (and drives to rehearsals), and younger sister Beth for helping her learn herlines. She would also like to thank voice teacher Ina Kraus 'for helping her kill themouse.' WVLO says, Thank you', too, for giving us such a fine performer.

WHO'S WHO IN OUR STAFF

[J

NANCY KWONG - Choreographer. Our 'Theatrical Lady", sinceher teenage years, is about to become a MOM !! (At least at thiswriting, she still has not become one, but, who knows?) Hermom, Marge Hand, and her Dad, Ed Hand, President of WVLOAand our Technical Director, are both getting a bit anxious, as arewe all, .. Nancy started performing with us in "Good News", thenin "Kiss Me, Kate", "Dames At Sea", and "Rodgers & Hart". Shehas also choreographed for Gaslighter Theater in Campbell, TheSunnyvale Community Players and Theatreworks in Palo Alto.

Nancy received a BA from California State University at Chico, and a Masters inSpeech Pathology from San Jose State University. One busy young lady is Nancy, who also finds time to volunteer for Timpany Center, and is a member of the QuotaClub International, working for the speech and hearing impaired. Her husband,Edmond, is also performing with us in this show. But, we keep seeing him looking war-ily at Nancy as the cast goes through their dance routines with Nancy dancing rightalong with them. Now we know why their car's engine was always running outside therehearsal hall.

TINO CECILIO - Choreographer. In 1980, Tino did his first showwith West Valley Light Opera as a member of the chorus in"Wonderful Town". Now, fifteen years later, he returns to choreo-graph "Gypsy" with Nancy Kwong. Tino and Nancy have beenworking as a team since 1988 and choreographed "Nunsense"together for WVLOA in the spring of 1993. He feels very fortunateto have met such a talented young lady. Tino spent three years inJunior College, and two grueling years at San Jose State to earna degree in accounting. Later on, he wised up and abandoned thatcareer. He is now an active member of the theater community, working with GaslighterTheater, in Campbell, Mitty High School, Saratoga Drama Group, San Jose CivicLight Opera, (now American Music Theater), San Jose Stage Company, SunnyvaleCommunity Theater and the Ole Opry House in Almaden. In his spare time, Tinoproduces and directs a show for television for Timpany Center in San Jose, and isExecutive Producer for Personal Productions and performs for Mystery By Designdinner theater. Tino is busy! His motto is: "Accidents create some of my best work ... "Welcome back, Tino.
