Issue 4 Term 1 Week 4 19 February 2020
Good afternoon Parents, Carers and Friends of Greenwich Public School.
Come and See Greenwich Road
On Thursday afternoon between 5 & 7pm we are opening the Greenwich Road building to the parents and
carers and the public to come and see the new building and teaching spaces. We ask that you please
supervise your children if you are visiting, as staff are not able to supervise students at this time.
I am looking forward to having the opportunity to show you our beautiful new teaching facility and hope
you can join us.
Kingslangley Road Entry Change
Taylors have advised this coming Monday the school access all day will be via the park. Taylor will have
traffic control to inform all teachers and students on arrival.
This is due to some large structural steel deliveries which will take a large portion of the day to unload.
Students will need to enter the school through Henningham Park or River Road for the entire day. Our
apologies for the inconvenience but this needs to occur for safety reasons. Please contact the office if you
need to discuss the issue.
SRC Badging and Whole School Assembly
Our first whole school assembly will be held on Thursday March 5 at Greenwich Road campus. All students
K-6 will need to start the day at Greenwich Road on that day and students in Years 3-6 will walk back to
Kingslangley Road at the conclusion of the assembly.
Students who are our SRC representatives for 2020 will be given their badges at this assembly and parents
are invited to join us. A separate invitation will be sent.
Kingslangley Road Landscaping Consultation
Thank you to everyone who attended the landscaping discussion evening last week. My apologies for not
being able to be there but I am assured that the discussion was very productive.

Please refer below for the planned works for the week commencing 17th February 2020;

Gates on Greenwich Road
We have three entrances on Greenwich Road Campus which all need to be locked during school time for
the safety of all students. Please understand that this is for security reasons. I am happy to discuss this at
any time. As our day is often unpredictable, please understand that we will endeavour to have the gates
open by 2:30 but there are times when we may be delayed. Your patience and understanding would be
greatly appreciated.
I request that the gates are closed at all times even as people move in and out, as we need to have the
school secure and ensure student safety at all times.
Thank you for your understanding and assistance.
I hope you have a wonderful week.

SCHOOL COMMUNICATION
The ‘Skoolbag’ app (Apple/Android) is a great way of staying connected with the school and the numerous events and reminders in 2020. Please download and install it by searching for our school name in either the Apple App Store, or Google Play Store.
If you haven’t already, please make sure you
have downloaded the ‘Class Dojo’ app and
have connected with your child’s class.
Teachers have started using the platform this week!

consultation with the other members and taking the minutes of these
meetings.

Please email greenwichpandc@gmail if you are interested or would like more information. The school
