FALL BOOK STUDY
In May, the Christian world lost an important and courageous voice with the
tragic death of Rachel Held Evans. This year’s Fall Book Study will explore her
last book, Inspired: Slaying Giants, Walking on Water, and Loving the Bible Again.
An evening group will meet for seven weeks on Tuesdays beginning September 24
at 7:00 p.m., and a morning group will meet each Wednesday beginning September
25 at 10:00 a.m. Books are $10 each and will be available in the church office.
Call the office to sign up, and indicate if you prefer the morning or evening group.

THE LAKESIDE LADIES’ BOOK CLUB
The Lakeside Ladies’ Book Club will resume our monthly meetings on
Tuesday, September 10, at 6:30 p.m. We’ll enjoy a taco salad supper together at
Terry Martin’s home (300 Wildwood Avenue) as we share with one another our
favorite books to consider for this year’s reading list. If you have a chance during
these final weeks of summer, read or reread Travels with Charley by John
Steinbeck. Bring a favorite photo from your summer travels (or anytime) to our
first meeting so we can share our own memorable journeys with each other.
