Our Mission Statement
We, the faith community of Saint Clement parish, of the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth,
established in Dartmouth in 1955 and, truly rooted in the Catholic faith, proclaim our belief in
the message and mission of Jesus Christ.
We are committed to continue the mission of Jesus Christ. We seek to live out this belief as a
community of worship, of shared faith and of service where each member shares with others the
gifts and talents received from God.
We seek to develop and encourage a community of faith open to responding in kind to the abundant love of God and to the needs of our parishioners
and neighbouring community through our
proclamation of the Gospel and giving witness to it through our lives and our participation in the sacraments centering our lives on the

Baptism - To have a child Baptized, it is required that you be a registered parishioner at St. Clement Parish. Choice of God-parents must be practicing Catholics. If you are a parishioner of another parish, you must get a letter of permission from your pastor to have your child Baptized here. Please contact the parish office to arrange for Baptismal preparation. Confession - Sacrament of Reconciliation - Father is available before Weekday Masses and Saturdays at 3:15-3:45pm. Marriage - One year notice and Marriage Preparation course is required. Funeral - In the event of the death of a loved one, please con-tact the parish office at 902-469-1203.

Happy Easter Sunday – We have journeyed through the season of Lent and have given permission to God to shine His light to show us the way. The Lord is Risen, truly He has, Alleluia! Alleluia!!! I would like to take this opportunity to wish each and every one of you a very Happy and Holy Easter Season. I pray that these next 50 days till Pentecost, will truly be a renewing experience for you. May the Truth that the Resurrection of Jesus Christ renew our Church and our homes always. Steubenville Atlantic - Thank you to Justin Ward and Brad MacKinnon from
Saint John XXIII Parish for coming to invite and encourage our young people last weekend at Saint Andrew. We will welcome their invitation at Saint Clement at a future time. Our hope is that we will have a number of young people from both Saint Andrew and Saint Clement join and participate in the Steubenville experience this Summer in Halifax.
Coadjutor Archbishop Announced for Halifax-Yarmouth On the morning of Saturday, April 13, 2019 the Holy Father, Pope Francis announced the appointment of Most Reverend Brian Dunn, current Bishop of Antigonish, as Coadjutor Archbishop for the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth. Bishop Dunn, our Coadjutor Arch-bishop Elect, will join Archbishop Mancini and the faithful at the Chrism Mass. Bishop Dunn is familiar to many in our diocese. He was appointed Bishop of Antigonish on November 21, 2009 by His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI, and installed on January, 25, 2010. Prior to his Antigonish appointment, Bishop Dunn was Auxiliary Bishop of Sault Ste-Marie, Ontario. Bishop Dunn was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland in 1955 and ordained to the priesthood
in 1980. He served a number of parishes in the Diocese of Grand Falls until 1988 when he moved to Ottawa in order to complete his doctoral studies in Canon Law at Saint Paul University. In 1991, he was assigned to parish ministry and also worked as Vice-Chancellor and Chancellor for the Diocese of Grand Falls while teaching theology in the Mari-times. In 2002, he became a faculty member at St. Peter’s Seminary, in London, Ontario and from 2005 to 2008 he served as the seminary’s Dean of Studies. Upon the release of this appointment Archbishop Mancini shared Letter of Announcement to the faithful of the diocese: (la lettre en français suit)
Dear Friends, It is with a great sense of gratitude that I share with you the Holy Father’s appointment of the Most Reverend Brian Dunn, as Coadjutor Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth. The news was published in Rome to-day, April 13, 2019. I thank Pope Francis for kindly accepting my request for a coadjutor to assist me in the pastoral charge of this Archdiocese at this important time of transition, when we are restructuring the Archdiocese to be better equipped to be-come a Church of missionary disciples. As coadjutor archbishop, Bishop Dunn takes office immediately upon presenta-tion of his apostolic letter of appointment to the College of Consultors which will take place at a later more convenient time. He has the right of succession, which means that upon my resignation as Archbishop, hopefully in November 2020, Bishop Dunn will assume the office of Archbishop of Halifax-Yarmouth. In the interim, Bishop Dunn will have the time and occasion to become familiar with the people and clergy who make up the faithful of our diocese. There will be ample opportunity to discover the strengths of this local Church as well as become aware of the various challenges which must be faced in the missionary task of the New Evangelization. I look forward to this experience of shared leadership and particularly to the gifts and new energy which Bishop Dunn will bring to our collaborative work. This will insure a smooth transfer of episcopal responsibility and succession in the pastoral leadership of the Archdiocese. Bishop Dunn has manifested a great sense of service in his own Diocese of Antigonish and comes to us with great pastoral experience and theological knowledge. He has demonstrated great freedom and generosity in accepting the call of the Holy Father to continue his episcopal ministry in the service of this Archdiocese. April 28; they are Kaleth Colvey, Vander Tobin,
Declan Tom, Chelsea Crichton, David Bello. Please keep
these children in your prayers as they make their final
preparations.
Baptism: We will be also having a Baptism on Divine
Mercy Sunday; Huu Khang Nguyen, son
of Khoa and Phuong Nguyen, will be Bap-
tized at Mass on that day. Please keep this
family in your prayers also.
Congratulations to the five youth who
have been Confirmed at our Easter
Vigil; Rachel Bourgeois, Shaela Tobin,
and Mathew, MaryAnne and Juliette Akunyili.
As you continue in your journey of Faith may you
be empowered by the Holy Spirit to always bear
witness to Jesus' Passion, Death and Resurrection
before the world, so that your way of life may be in
every place, the pleasing fragrance of Jesus.
Congratulations also to the two youth, Benjamin
and Madeleine Bourgeois - Higgins, who make
their First Communion this Easter Sunday!
May you always be united with the Holy
Spirit at the Lord's table and may Jesus bless
and guide you as you continue your faith
