Our mission is to help morepeople become fully committed

followers of Jesus Christ.

“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching

them to obey everything I have commanded you.”Jesus (Matthew 28:19-20 NIV)

IN THESE PAGES...you will find Grace Point’s mission strategy - our way of accomplishing the calling and mission

that Jesus gave us to “go and make disciples,” both in our region and around the world.

God wants to shape and mold us to become more like Jesus Christ - a people who are fully

committed to Him. Why is this important? It’s at the heart of what Jesus called us to be and

do here on earth.

Also, we’ve outlined the typical stages of spiritual growth where you can identify your own

progress. Maybe you’re just starting your journey of faith, or maybe you’re ready to take the

next step. Our mission strategy focuses on four key actions: worship, connect, serve, and

share. We’ll explain what we mean in each section and give you some next steps to get you

started.

Be sure to check out our My Mission Toolbox (mymissiontoolbox.com) - a website offering a

variety of resources and practical ideas to help you progress in becoming a fully committed

follower of Jesus Christ.

STAGES OFSPIRITUAL GROWTHGod’s priority for your life is for you to become a fully committed follower of Jesus

Christ. God desires for each of us to grow in our faith by becoming more following

Jesus. Everyone can make progress towards that goal no matter where you are in

your spiritual journey. In fact, the process of developing a Christ-centered life typically

progresses through the following stages:

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your

soul and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest

commandment. And the second is like it: “Love your neighbor as

yourself.” Jesus (Matthew 22:37 NIV)

SeekingYou have a basic belief in God, but

are unsure about Christ and His rolein your life. You may be seeking for

something more in your life.

The CrossYou accept the Good News of the Gospel and come to faith in Jesus

Christ as your Savior.

BelievingYou have a personal relationship with Christ. You believe He is who He says

He is and you are just beginning to engage in the process of becoming

more like Him.

FollowingYou experience increasing

transformation in both character and actions as you follow Jesus. You’re

commited to worship, connect, serve, and share.

DisciplingYou understand your relationship with Christ as the most important

in your life. Christ affects every aspect of your life and you’re actively investing in others to help them grow

and follow Jesus.

Where does Jesus rank in your life? Is He just a thought on Sunday morning, or is He your closest

friend and leader of your life? Does your faith have you stuck in a holding pattern, unable to break

free and become all that God intended for you through Jesus Christ? God desires for each of us to

grow in our faith by becoming more following Jesus. More life change. More generosity. More like

Jesus Christ by the power of the gospel. This is why we’ve developed a strategy for helping each of

us become fully committed followers of Jesus. When we worship, connect, serve, and share, we’re

becoming more following Jesus.

BECOMING MORE FOLLOWING JESUS

WORSHIPLife change happens when we engage God both corporately and personally. We do this

through worship services and the practice of spiritual habits.

CONNECTLife change happens when we gather in biblical community and connect with others. We do

this in groups where we can know and care for each other, encourage each other to grow

spiritually, and invite others to join us.

SERVEGenerosity is practiced when we willingly serve Christ and His body through the use of our

time, talents, and treasure.

SHAREGenerosity is practiced when we boldly share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the world

through word and action.

Worship involves both our attitude and our actions. Worship is the attitude of reverence

and adoration, as well as the actions of humble, loving service to our almighty God. A

follower of Jesus makes consistent worship of God their highest priority.

THE CHALLENGE:

Commit to actively engage in corporate worship, personal worship, and the pursuit of a

life-style of worship.

Come, let us bow down in worship,

let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;

for he is our God and we are the people of his

pasture, the flock under his care.

ESSENTIAL WORSHIPFOR A FOLLOWER OF JESUSCorporate WorshipMake it a priority to partake in Sunday morning worship services on a weekly basis.

Jesus came to serve others rather than be served. Likewise, he calls his followers to

become the kind of people who serve others generously. Serving not only impacts the

lives of others, it also transforms us and can fill us with joy and purpose.

THE CHALLENGE:

Commit to give generously of your time, talents, and treasure to serve others and

honor God.

Whoever wants to become great among you

must be your servant, and whoever wants to be

first must be slave of all. For even the Son of

Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and

to give his life as a ransom for many.
