It was great seeing all of you at the reunion here in Florida. It’s always nice to get together with camp friends in the winter months to rekindle your rela onships. It’s amazing how much me has passed since camp but it s ll feels like we were just together yesterday.

I am happy to announce that two old friends of mine will be returning to camp this summer. In 1992 we were fortunate to have James Michaels (J.M.) and his friend, Grego, join the Timber Ridge family in our drama department. Prior to coming to camp, J.M. was running the children’s theatre of Hollywood (FL), performing at dinner clubs and li le theatres in South Florida as well as doing commercials. Grego and J.M. came to Timber Ridge for eight years before the lure of Hollywood pulled him away. Since then he has worked at Summer Stock with leads in Fiddler On The Roof, West Side Story, Li le Shop of Horrors and others.

J.M. and Grego are returning for another great summer at Timber Ridge! J.M. will recreate his Fourth of July Show, Li le Shop, haunted house and more! Grego will be running our woodshop, doing sound and ligh ng for the theatre as well as stagecra and hobby shop. Grego loves to fi sh and will be taking fi shing trips in the early morning four days a week. His other passion is gardening and we will have a full garden this summer. I am glad J.M. and Grego want to return to wild, wonderful, West Virginia!All of us are so happy and excited to have these two back with us along with Murray, Pa y & Wayne – Wow! What a great place to be this summer!

Only 160 days un l camp! Thank goodness for the reunions. The Florida reunion was once again a happening event. On December 26th we hosted 145 past, current and future campers and counselors at Tradewinds Park in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for the 54th annual Florida reunion. The weather was great, the company was superb and the music, climbing wall, slide and bounce house just added to an amazing me!

As I watched Jarod Glou, the Spanier’s and Kleinman’s play volleyball, it felt as if summer was just around the corner. Lola (with the help of her husband) made hamburgers, hot dogs, brownies, salads, etc. just like we were at camp. Wayne and Pa y arrived but Pa y forgot her blender so she could not make any milk shakes. She will be making them again this summer though, so don’t be sad! Mara Markinson came all the way from New York to be at the reunion. She even spent the night at Jamie Shalek’s house with Hannah, Sloane, Sabrina and Jessie Schaff er. She is going to be an amazing division leader. Ka e Anderson traveled all the way from Illinois. Bryan Helfman, Max Gelernter, Blake Yagman, Ophie Summers, Colby Schepps, Coby Powers, Zack Kandel, Ryan Balick, Jen Kaminsky, Gavi Kantor, Jillian Danick, Alexis Hyman, Stephen Cohen, Yasmine Robinson and Andy Dillon (all members of last year’s staff ) joined us at the reunion. Luke Stein (Steve’s son), Jordan & Mindy Powers and Sharon Aziz also visited the reunion. A emp ng to name all of the campers who were in a endance would be next to impossible but it was amazing to see everyone and fi nd out what they have been up to! Some campers even made me a video so I can go to sleep at night hearing their charming voices. So, with 160 days un l summer (and freezing temperatures outside!) summer cannot come soon enough. We will host our Bal more reunion on January 31st at Dave & Buster’s at Arundel Mills. I am looking forward to seeing everyone again. Then, on February 4th, Fred and I are off to Paris for the reunion there.
