Please join us in prayer this week for :
From the Pastor: About this Sunday's Gospel, Pope Francis has said:
“This parable urges us not to conceal our faith and our belonging to Christ, not to bury the Word of the Gospel, but to let it circulate in our life, in our rela!onships, in concrete situa!ons, as a strength which galvanizes, which purifies, which renews. Similarly, the forgiveness, which the Lord grants us par!cularly in the Sacrament of Reconcilia!on: let us not keep it closed within ourselves, but let us allow it to emit its power, which brings down the walls that our egoism has raised, which enables us to take the first step in strained rela!onships, to resume the dialogue where there is no longer communica!on.... And so forth. Allow these talents, these gi#s, these presents that the Lord has given us, to be, to grow, to bear fruit for others, with our witness.
I think it would be a fine gesture for each of you to pick up the Gospel at home today, the Gospel of St Ma$hew, Chapter 25, verses 14 to 30, Ma$hew 25:14-30, and read this, and meditate a bit: “The talents, the treasures, all that God has given me, all things spiritual, all goodness, the Word of God, how do I make this grow in others? Or do I merely store it in a safe?”.
Read the Gospel more! Let's consider making that a Ad-vent pledge, too. The Word of God is ours to love and live.
With love and Prayers, Fr. Francis

remembering those we love….
During this coming holiday season, consider a Me-morial Dona!on of Altar Bread and Wine, or a Memorial Do-na!on for Altar Flowers for a week. Flowers will be placed on the altar in the main Church for the weekend and then moved to the Chapel for weekday Masses. The name of your loved one along with the name of the person making the request will be printed in the Bulle!n and they will be re-membered in a special way by the Priests as they celebrate Mass. We will also con!nue to take requests for the Taber-nacle Candle Memorials. Please call the Parish Office (359-

Homebound? Weather

Mass on TV or online...
With cold weather upon us it’s some!mes impossible to
come to church for Mass on Sunday. The Passionists of the
St. Paul of the Cross Province began their television ministry
in New York in December of 1970. From the first broadcast,
The Sunday Mass was enthusias!cally received by the home
bound and the infirm. Today, hundreds of thousands now
join in the celebra!on of The Sunday Mass na!onwide on
TV and worldwide via the internet. Log on to : h#ps://

Sharing your last wishes
The upcoming holiday season brings many occasions for families to gather to-gether. It also affords us the opportunity to share the things that are most important to
us. The loss of a close loved one, parent, child, sibling, especially if it’s very sudden, is a challenging and difficult !me. Families have to make many quick decisions about honoring the life and work of their loved ones and each of us can help ease that burden by being sure that out last wishes are known.
In addi!on to instruc!ons for a wake and the nature of your burial, being specific about your desire for a Funeral Mass in the church that is your spiritual home relieves your family of any uncertainty about honoring your wish-es. Take some !me soon to write down these important decisions and share them with your family. They will be most grateful for the peace and comfort that knowing that they can follow your wishes brings.
OLSH supports People to People
With weekly dona!ons, the generous
people of the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart
parish are regular supporters of the food
pantry at People to People, our local source of food for the needy
in our community. During the holiday season the need for non-
perishable food is even more cri!cal.
As you make your own prepara!ons for the holiday ,
please remember our brothers and sisters who struggle daily with
feeding their families and be as generous as you can. Your dona-
!ons can be le& in the large carton at the rear of the church.
Feeding the hungry in our community is a Corporal Work of Mercy
that brings special blessings on all of us. God Bless you for your
generosity.
