Penny Sale On Saturday, March 21st, the Knights of Columbus will hold their annual Penny Sale in the Sacred Heart School Gym. The doors will open at 5:30pm and the raffles will start at 7:00pm with over 150 items. The money raised always goes to charity and this year it will once again go to Teen Challenge in Manchester. Their mission is to provide youth, adults, and families a faith-based solution to life-controlling drug and alcohol problems in order to become productive members of society. By applying biblical principles, Teen Challenge helps the mind, body, and soul to become mentally strong, physically well, and spiritually alive. If you would like to donate a raffle item to this event we are looking for new items, gift baskets and handmade items. The Penny Sale is a fun event the whole family will enjoy and as always the snack bar will be open with some great food. To donate or for more information please call David Hagen at 926-6443 or email at [email protected]

Hello OLMM family, Since starting The Hygiene Project several years ago we have been able to help countless kids in need throughout the Seacoast thanks to your kindness and generosity. We assist with the basic hygiene needs of the 1,000+ teens in the state of New Hampshire who are living without parents or a permanent roof over their heads. At this time we are asking for you to consider donating gift cards for our homeless/parentless teens (to Target, Wal-mart, etc.) We will distribute the gift cards to the homeless liaisons at the area high schools as well as the counselors and social workers in the area who have daily contact with the kids. We are also running low on shampoo and conditioner for both men and women. Your donation (labeled The Hygiene Project) can be left in the box at the front entrance of the church, brought into the Parish Office, or given to Sherry Impastato in the Faith Formation Office. Your donation will remind the kids through this Lenten season that there are people in this world that care for them. With much love and appreciation, Wendy Cooper HCC-The Hygiene Project [email protected]

31st Anniversary Passover Seder at OLMM Parish Saturday, April 4th, 5:00pm Sacred Heart School Gym

$10 for Adults/$5 for Children under 12 & Seniors over 65 Tickets available at the Parish Office.

“The Seder” (SAY-der) is a traditional Jewish feast celebrated on the first night of Passover. The Jewish people have celebrated Passover - per Biblical command - for over 3,000 years as a means of remembering the anniversary of God’s deliverance of Israel from slavery in Egypt. This is not “remembering” as in “recalling”, this is seen as a mystical “re-membering” - transcending time as they spiritually become actual participants in the first Passover night. More than just a meal; it is both a celebration and a solemn ceremony, overflowing with history and tradition. The lives of Jesus and his disciples were deeply rooted in it. To truly understand Jesus, Mary, and the Apostles, we need to appreciate the Jewish religious practices that were the foundation of their faith in God. For over 30 years, Deacon Dennis Jacobs and his family have sought to show us that through the Seder, the roots of our Eucharistic celebration grow from deep within the bedrock of the Jewish Passover tradition. Come and experience the Seder with us on and you will leave with a deeper understanding of the significance of The Last Supper, which was itself a Passover Seder meal and the very origin of our own Eucharistic tradition. Watch this space over the next few weeks to learn more about the Passover Seder!
