Food Pantry Many people only donate to food pantries at holiday times, but we want to thank you, for being so consistent all year round, with your generous giving. No matter what time of the year it may be, you have never stopped shar-ing with those less fortunate. We thank you from the bot-tom of our hearts. Donations to our Food Pantry consist of non-perishable foods: such as soups, sauces, pasta, rice, cereals, dry milk, canned vegetables, as well as toi-letries (toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, etc.) Please check expiration dates before donating food. If the food is out of date, kindly discard.

Knights of Columbus The K of C are Catholic men, 18 years of age and older, who are committed to making their community a better place. The Knights volunteer in a variety of charitable enterprises to serve the people and programs of their communities. The group meets the first and third Tues-day of each month in the Church Hall at 8 p.m. The next K of C meeting is on Tuesday, December 17. To join, email Michael at [email protected] or call the rectory.

Christmas Wafers Traditional Polish Christmas wafers (Oplatki) are available and may be purchased at the rectory during of-fice hours, or from the ushers when you attend Mass. The Opłatki wafers are embossed with Christmas relat-ed religious images, varying from the nativity scene (especially Virgin Mary with baby Je-sus), to the Star of Bethlehem. They are $4 and include instructions regarding their use.

~We will celebrate a chil-dren’s Mass every Sunday at 10:45 a.m. All children and parents are encouraged to attend. ~There will be no CCD clas-

ses on December 24, 26, 29, 31 and January 2. ~On Saturday, January 11, there is a mandatory Confirmation Retreat from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. ~On Wednesday, January 15, there will be a Confirma-tion Meeting for parents in the Parish Hall at 7 p.m. We offer our special thanks to our volunteers, and to those who purchased wreaths this Christmas season. It is because of you our annual wreath sale was a success!

Advent Penance Services Our Parish Penance Service, in anticipation of Christmas is scheduled for Wednesday, December 18 at 7 p.m. Although we hear confessions in the morning after the 8 a.m. Mass, and 4 p.m. on Saturdays, we strongly suggest that you take advantage of this opportunity to receive the sacrament.

3rd Sunday of Advent “Go and tell John what you hear and see: the blind regain their sight, the lame walk, lep-ers are cleansed, the deaf hear, and the dead are raised…” MATTHEW 11:4 5 When Jesus cured the sick we called it a miracle. Yet God has

blessed us with many good things – our eyesight, our hearing, our talents, our health and so much more – and we often take it all for granted. The good steward recog-nizes every blessing in life as a miracle from God and strives to use those gifts for God’s honor and glory.

Because of You… Many needy children and adults are able to open Christmas presents this year! Our Annual Giving Tree gift collection was a tremendous success and it is because of your unwavering dedication and generosity. May the Lord continue to bless you and your family this season. Thank You!
