OLMC School News Catholic Schools Week - started with an exciting Mass celebrated by Fr. Cobos and Deacon Jeff. The Mass was attended by all faculty and staff, as well as students from different grade levels. A breakfast fundraiser was sponsored by the 8th grade in the Parish Hall complete with freshly made tostadas, cheese nachos, and homemade menudo. This week is dedicated to Catholic Schools in raising awareness of our mission of providing the best in Catholic Education - which is comprised of both strong academic preparation and catholic formation. It is also an opportunity to reach out to the community to encourage enrollment to increase the enrollment in our school. The week is filled with exciting activities for the students with an Open House provided for parents interested in enrolling their children. OLMC's Open House will be held this Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 6:00 PM. The week will be capped off Friday, Jan. 30, with a Basketball game between the Boys Basketball Team vs. The Male Faculty and Staff. Come and be a part of our community of Mt. Carmel Catholic School, where we are providing the best in Catholic Education! Thanks and God bless!

Noticias de la Escuela OLMC La Semana de Escuelas Católicas – inició con la celebración de una hermosa Eucaristía presidida por el Padre Cobos y el Diácono Jeff. A la Misa asistieron todos los profesores y el personal de la escuela, así como estudiantes de diferentes grados. El grado 8vo. organizó un desayuno como actividad de recaudación de fondos en el Salón Parroquial y que consistía en tostadas

recién hechas, nachos con queso, y menudo casero. Esta semana está dedicada a las escuelas católicas en la sensibilización de nuestra misión de hacer lo mejor posible en la educación católica - que se compone de sólida preparación académica y de formación católica. Es también una oportunidad para llegar a la comunidad y fomentar las matrículas que incrementen el número de estudiantes en nuestra escuela. La semana está llena de actividades interesantes para los estudiantes con una jornada de puertas abiertas diseñada para que los padres de familia que estén interesados en inscribir a sus hijos puedan conocer la escuela. La jornada de Puertas Abiertas de OLMC se llevará a cabo este Miércoles, 28 de Enero de 2015 a las 6:00 PM. La semana terminará el Viernes, 30 de Enero, con un partido de baloncesto entre el equipo de baloncesto de los niños contra el personal y los empleados masculinos de la escuela.
