Prayer Shawl Ministry Update The Prayer Shawl Ministry began just a li#le over three months ago, and already we have given out approximately 25 Prayer Shawls. We are thankful that we can bring a li#le comfort to those in need. (10 Funerals, People with Cancer, Demen"a, Bone Marrow Disease, in Nursing Homes, and others.) Each Prayer Shawl begins in prayer as we ask for God’s blessing for the recipient. The Shawl/Blanket then receives a blessing from our Pastor or Deacon before being passed on to someone in need. We have received dona"ons of money, yarn, quil"ng material, baby sweaters/boo"es, as well as fleece blankets for children. For all this we are

very thankful. We have a dona"on box located at the West Front Doors to the Church. We appreciate, and are so thankful for, the dona"ons of money, yarn (4-ply, Acrylic), and ba%ng for quilters. We welcome everyone who might want to volunteer to this ministry. You don’t have to know how to knit/crochet, because we have an excellent teacher!!!!! Please come check us out! Our ministry meets on the first Wednesday of the month from 1-3PM, and the second Wednesday of the month from 6:30-8:30PM. Our Mee"ngs are held in the Hayes Community Room. It is a "me to gather together socially to work on our Shawls/Blankets. If you would like to help with the Prayer Shawl Ministry, but are unable to come to our workshops, you are welcome to use the guidelines provided below and par"cipate from home.

Rectangular Shawls: 20” x 60” Lap Blankets: 30” x 40”

Baby Blankets: 36” x 36” Toddler Blankets: 36” x 43”

Pre-Teen Blankets: 40” x 60” Older Teen Blankets: 50” x 72”

Fireside Theater Christmas Show

Dear Parishioners and Friends, MARK YOUR CALENDARS!! The Co-Ed Seniors Group has scheduled the following trip to the Fireside Theater in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin

to see “A Christmas Story” on Saturday, December 14th. Ralphie wants only one thing for Christmas: An Official Red Ryder Carbine-Ac"on 200-Shot Range Model Air Rifle. “A Christmas Story” – The Musical is the hilarious account of Ralphie’s desperate quest to ensure that this most perfect of gi<s ends up under his tree this Christmas. It is based on the classic 1983 movie that has become a holiday tradi"on that millions wait for every year. Featuring a funny and hearXelt score by Benj Pasek and Jus"n Paul who wrote music for the hit movie “La La Land” (for which they won an Academy Award); the hit Broadway show “Dear Evan Hansen”; and the new hit movie “The Greatest Showman”; “A Christmas Story” – The Musical captures holiday wonder with such deliciously wicked wit that it is sure to delight children and grown-ups alike! This show is sure to put you into the “Christmas Spirit”! This trip will depart promptly at 8:30AM from the South End of the Church/School Parking Lot, and return approximately 5:30–6PM. Please park on the EAST side of the bus. Thank you! A dona"on of $90.00 Per Person (based on a full bus of 54 people) (check made payable to “OLH” and print “Fireside Theater” on the “Memo Line”) covers the cost of a deluxe coach to the Fireside Theater, and return to the Church, a wonderful gourmet meal, a fantas"c performance, and gratui"es at the Theater.
