Dear family,

Feliz Pascua! Happy Easter! He is risen today, indeed, He is risen! Who can contain the joy of this day and all it entails for our lives: earthly and eternal?! Throughout this past Lent we have dedi-cated our time to conforming ourselves more and more to Christ, our great physician and healer. We have seen him heal people in all sorts of situations, from the painful to the most dreadful of conditions. This day, however, He heals our deepest wound: alienation from God, alienation from hope. In the midst of our temptation to despair and the darkness associated with that temptation, He has the audacity to speak life into the tomb and be light. The darkness is powerless to extin-guish this light. Powerless to extinguish our hope, peace, joy, and faith. This day is our victory day because while our limitations remain, His promise continues unchallenged and His ability to bring life is not hindered even by death, death of any sort. Let us praise Him, let us acclaim His, and let us look to Him: Our Lord crucified and now risen!

In His risen joy, Reverend Father Daniel J. Gutierrez
