we share at our wonderful Masses.
Dear Parishioners and Friends of Our Lady of Guadalupe,
With just three days to go until Christmas, we are called today to focus on the Birth of Jesus. The Gospel for today shares the story of how the birth of Jesus came about. We hear for the first time the role that Joseph played in His Birth.
Joseph struggled with the entire situation. He must have asked: ”Why is this happening and how will this turn out?” After awakening from a dream, like Mary, he was able to say:” Thy will be done”.
Mary and Joseph are true models of faith. We, too, go through times when we ask: How will this turn out? In the midst of our confusion and doubts, let us be able to say: ”Thy Will Be Done”!
Once again, I invite all of us to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Give yourself the gift of peace by coming to Confession . Confessions will be available on Christmas Eve at 11:30AM.
Blessed Christmas to all of you,
Fr. Tony
With the New Year approaching,
Fr. Walter Butor, O.M.I., is being transferred to
St. Henry’s in Bellville, Illinois. This change will
occur at the end of January. Fr. Walter will be
missed and I want to take this opportunity to thank
him on behalf of all of us. He will be in our prayers.
