John 4:35
January 13, 2019
K atherine Akin Moss
It is written in Psalm 116:15, “Precious in the sight of the LORD, is the death of His godly ones.”
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Katherine. What a sweet and godly lady she is. I don’t know when I first met her but there are three things I know defi-nitely about her. She loved the Lord, she loved her Freddie, and she loved her son-in-law, Robert. You could tell how deep her love was because she would tell everyone how much she loved the three. She helped brighten the room and the day when I talked with her. I will miss that sweet spirit I saw in her. I hope that the Lord will keep our days and rooms bright because of His love and Katherine’s.

If your room is dark, it could be for two reasons –the sun isn’t shining or
the window is dirty. You can wash windows – you can’t make the sun shine.
Our own dirt always seems a litter cleaner.

PANTRY UPDATE: A big ‘Thank You’ to the Save-A-Lot store in Eustis for donating several bags of food to our pantry. God continues to bless our efforts when we do His will!
The pantry got under way YESTERDAY —and will continue to be open each month on the second Saturday. We appreciate everyone’s willingness to volunteer to help in this work. Let’s make a habit of praying for our pantry outreach mission and continue our support by bringing in the items necessary to bless those in need in our community.
Children’s Worship Children (4 years old - 5th grade) will be dis-missed to meet in the foyer after the offering. Please pick up your children from Room 10 after service.
Wintercamp at CFBC Wintercamp is January 18th-21st (MLK Weekend) at Central Florida Bible Camp. This event is for 6th–12th graders. It is like Summer Camp only a little shorter and a little cool-er. Cost is $60. The theme this year is “Follow Me.” For more details see the Youth and Family Board.
Mother-Daughter Retreat Mark your calendars for this great retreat for mothers and daughters of all ages. The date is Friday February 8th through Sunday February 10th. The theme is “But…” The cost is $40/ person ($5 off if registered by January 25th).
Isaiah 43:1b-3a (NASB/ESV) “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.”

Those unable to attend services: We have several members who are unable to be with us on a regular basis due to health concerns: Marcella Hudson, Martha Johnson, David McCaig, Lee Victorelli and JoAn Wood. For some, YOU are the only Christian family contact they have all week long. Let’s show them the love of Christ in us!
Proverbs 16:3 “Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”
IF we commit our plans to His glory, for His purpose, and seek to do His will, then God will ‘establish our plans.’ God’s promises are sure and as long as we are seeking to glorify God in all our plans, it is certain that He will establish those
plans. Our outreach missions, pantry program and Bible classes have been committed to His glory and for His purpose. We are seeking to do His will and glorify Him. Let us thank Him for helping our plans succeed!

Our Central Florida Sunday Evening Service is Almost Here: Our last few meetings have not been as well-attended as they could have been. Our church leaders have been hard at work calling area churches to encourage them to bring their members to the January 27th service—but we need YOU to help spread the word as well. Be sure to invite your family and friends to this uplifting time of worship with our church family from across Central Florida.
Agape Church of Christ (St. Johns County) Work Party: We will take the bus to help prepare the new building for worship next Saturday, January 19th. Please add your name to the list on the board if you are willing to ride along and help.
Memorial Service TODAY for Katherine Moss: Please be sure to attend TODAY at 3 pm and stay for fellowship and refreshments immediately following and before evening worship at 5 pm.
