Addressing food and transportation
deserts in Chicago for seniors and
veterans
This service addresses the food
and transportation desert for
those who no longer drive,
increasing accessibility to doctors
offices, trains, pharmacies, and
grocery stores.
A 1.3 mile trip to the doctor via 2
buses took 1 hour is now reduced
to a 10 minute ride with Dash.

I love the fact that I can
get where I want to go
and get back quickly.

I love the DASH service! I have
been using it continuously to go to
the University of Chicago, to go to
the pharmacy, to the store. To go to
local places that I would normally
take the bus because I don’t have a
car.
