ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
A1 Office is committed to leading the industry in minimising the impact of its activities on the environment. We respect the environment that we all share and consider it in all business activities.
The key points of our strategy to achieve this are: – Minimise waste in operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible.
– Minimise emissions through the careful selection and use of its fleet and its power requirement.
– Actively promote recycling both internally and amongst our clients and suppliers.
– Source and promote a product range (where available) to minimise the environmental impact of both production and distribution.
– Meet or exceed all the environmental legislation that relates to the Company.
– Use an accredited program to offset the greenhouse gas emissions generated by our activities.
We treat our impact on the environment seriously, and consider our carbon footprint. With this in mind, our environmental policy is continually under review to ensure we cannot claim ignorance in relation to best practice.
This policy outlines our commitment to ensuring we are diligent in our pursuit of carbon reduction, correct waste management and recycling wherever possible.

By assessing and rating a building, exterior and interior against a range of environmental impact factors, Green Star is able to give a space or community an independent sustainability rating. Led by our Green Star Accredited Design Director Dana Moussousi, A1 Office is conscious of being eco-aware with the environmental impacts of our projects, internal management, using sustainable interior materials and pushing office sustainability innovation.

WHAT IS GREEN STAR?
At A1 Office, environmental sustainability is at the forefront of everything we do. For this reason, we are proud our Design Director Dana Moussaoui, holds a Green Star Accreditation.
The Green Star Accreditation program is Australia’s only national, voluntary, holistic rating system. Launched by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA), Green Star assesses the sustainable design, construction and operation of buildings, fitouts and communities. As an internationally recognised sustainability rating system, the Green Star accreditation program is at the head of sustainable and eco-friendly design and construction.
According to the GBCA, our man-made environment is responsible for the highest production of greenhouse gasses, consumes around a third of our water sources, and creates around 40 per cent of our waste. The Green Star Program aims to transform the design, construction and operation of our built environment to future proof our world. By helping to improve environmental efficiencies in buildings, Green Star also boosts productivity, creates jobs and ensures the health and well-being of communities.
As an accredited Green Star professional, Dana Moussouai ensures sustainability is a big part within every stage of the design and construct procedure. A1 Office has a ‘green library’ of suppliers which ensures sustainable and recycled materials are the first

A1 Office knew it was the small details that made the big difference when designing ActronAir, the head office of a national air-conditioning company. A 6000m2 workspace including 2500m2 of manufacturing flow seamlessly from one area to another.

The A1 Office team’s aim for Collins Urology was to ensure the specialist medical clinic felt warm, homely and beautiful over hard and clinical. Our team ensured every part of the 70 square metres was well considered, with lounge aesthetics and natural timber throughout. The hallway was designed as a gallery space to showcase the client’s beautiful photography. The result is a beautiful flow and feel throughout the clinic that makes staff and clients feel relaxed and inspired.
