We are collectors and exporters of second hand clothing in Ireland. We

also recycle mobile phones, books, ink cartridges, cardboard and scrap

metal. We are fully permitted and insured and work in close contact

with charities and local authorities throughout the country to ensure

that all your unwanted clothing and textiles as well as mobile phones,

books, ink cartridges, cardboard and scrap metal are recycled in an

environmentally friendly manner.

Dolly Textile Recycling is a family run business based in Sallins Co.

Kildare which began in January 2011 and has the experience of three

generations of the Dolly family. Dolly Textile Recycling is focused

on recycling clothes, textiles, mobile phones books, ink cartridges,

cardboard and scrap metal. We have over 30 year’s industry experience.

We are a fully licensed waste collection company and are registered

with all county councils in the Republic of Ireland. Prior to Dolly

Textile Recycling we have worked in many other areas of the recycling

industry. As a business we have a passion for recycling and keeping our

environment green and what better way to do that than provide a service

to the public which benefits both their pockets and our environment. As

a company our primary aim is to divert waste from landfill. Dolly Textile

Recycling was established in order to facilitate any individual, group,

club, church, community centre, and sports clubs, School or organization

looking to raise funds or looking to donate money to charity.

We care about our environment

As a company our primary aim is to divert waste from landfill. All our

operations are environmentally friendly and the driver’s routes are

organised in order to reduce unwanted journeys.

Our Objectives

• To promote awareness and the benefits of recycling used clothing,

shoes, mobile phones, books, ink cartridges, cardboard and scrap

metal.

• To reduce carbon emissions and divert materials that can be recycled

going to landfill

• To help people in developing countries gain access to affordable

clothing

All our processes are dry non-toxic operations, which have no negative

environmental implications. We in fact contribute positively to the

environment in that we dispose safely of large amounts of material,

which would otherwise add to the already excessive burden currently

being experienced in landfills nationwide.

Personal NoteWhy Dolly Textile Recycling is working in conjunction with MS Ireland“We consider family one of the most important aspects of life. When one of our own was diagnosed with MS three years ago, this came as a huge blow. Through this experience we have learned of all the wonderful services at MS Ireland and the dedicated members of staff who offer amazing support to not only the sufferer but the family as well. Dolly Textile Recycling was formed to help raise much-needed funds for MS Ireland. I would encourage anyone to go along to any of the nationwide voluntary branches or the Care Centre in Rathgar to see for themselves the difference this service makes to those affected.”(Stephen Dolly)

What is Multiple Sclerosis (MS)?Multiple Sclerosis is a disease of the brain and spinal cord (central nervous system). The central nervous system acts like a switchboard sending electrical messages along the nerves to various parts of the body. These electrical messages instruct the body to perform various tasks, such as movement or thought. Most healthy fibres are insulated by myelin, a fatty substance which aids the flow of messages. In MS, the myelin breaks down or becomes scarred. This distorts or even blocks the flow of messages, resulting in the many symptoms of MS. Many people explain MS like a faulty electrical flex on a kettle. If the insulating flex breaks, it exposes the wires underneath making them more vulnerable to damage.

Did you know that over 7,000 people and families live with Multiple Sclerosis across Ireland. Multiple Sclerosis can affect Women, Men & Children of all ages.

Services & ResourcesMS Ireland provides a range of services and resources to the whole MS Community,- those with MS, family members, employers and Health Professionals. MS Ireland’s aim is to provide timely, sensitive and accurate information and support to help address or minimize the impact MS may have.

MS Ireland provides services and resources at a local and national level. Locally, their team of 30 Regional workers provide one-to-one and group support and their 41 voluntary branches provide opportunities to socialize, share experiences and avail of services. National services include the Respite Care Centre in Rathgar and a telephone information Line.
