Reading is one of the essential skills that children need to master in order to do well in school. In order to cultivate a habit and a love of reading among its students, KS2 English Department organised Book Week (14th January to 18th January 2019) and used arts to teach their students to better appreciate books this time. Instead of writing a book report, the students used various tools to retell the stories. Paper bag and shoes box were used by Year 3 and Year 4 students respectively, while Year 5 students used cereal box as their kit. Students used these kits to recreate the stories and they were encouraged to express their opinions and expand the plots. It is hope that through this effort, students will be able to view reading as a fun and interesting activity because there are no bad readers; only those who haven’t found the book they love.

Students in Kingsley International School attend Learning Journey every term and the field trip is aimed at building students with soft skills such as team building and problem solving. In Term II of 2018/2019, our students went on an excursion to Janda Baik. This time, the Learning Journey was facilitated by Radiant Camps and the programmes catered for our secondary students were as follow:

Before Kingsley International School stands proud in today’s Kingsley Hill, the school had been actively participating in many sports events and competitions since the establishment of its old campus in Putra Heights. Recently, the school had participated in Majlis Sukan Sekolah-Sekolah Daerah (MSSD) Petaling Perdana, a district level competition which had seen over 60 schools from the government, private, and international schools taking part in the event. Our athletes have produced outstanding results and won several medals in various sports in the competition, putting the school alongside other high-performing schools. Congratulations to our teacher advisors and students for bringing the school proud. Here are our heroes and heroines who bring us pride:
