Ottawa Branch Bulletin Hello Everyone! I trust you have all enjoyed being Irish for one day, as we celebrated St. Patrick's Day in style with some of our favourite dances, like The Irish Rover. Now, I hope you have all purchased your tickets for our Ball which will be taking place, April 20. Don't forget the Ball practice scheduled to take place at the Experienced Social class on Thursday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m.. Of course everyone is invited to attend the practice. I am pleased to inform you that Jean Curtis is our Vice-Chair until the Annual General Meeting. She will not, however, be standing for election for next year. On another positive note, we have received a very warm thank-you from our Scottish guests, who appear to have thoroughly enjoyed their visit Those of us who attended the 50th Anniversary Ball of the Toronto Branch are still basking in the exhilaration of that event. We can hardly wait for another Ball. Although we won't have 400 people on the dance floor, we are still expecting our Ball to provide our members and guests with great joy. For those who did not go to Toronto, I want to tell you that the Toronto Branch deserves high praise. The Grand March for 400 people was quite something to behold with dancers beginning in groups of 4, instead of the usual 2. It went off incredibly smoothly. The Royal York Hotel also outdid itself in preparing a sumptuous meal, the best ever at any Ball. We'll have to do our best to follow their example, though on a smaller scale, when our own 50th anniversary rolls around in three years' time. Meanwhile, let's look forward to April 20, 2013, the Pre-Ball Dance, and the Brunch. See you there! WE WONDER WHY PEOPLE WORRYThere are only two reasons to worry – either you are successful or you are notIf you are successful, there is nothing to worry about. If you are a failure, there only two things to worry about – your health oryou are sick.If your health is good, there is nothing to worry about. If you are sick, there are only two things to worry about – you are going toget well or you are going to pass on.If you are going to get well, there is nothing to worry about. If you are going to pass on, you are either going to heaven or you arenot. If you are going to heaven, there is nothing to worry about. If you don’t, you’ll be so busy shaking hands with old friends youwon’t have time to worry.
