Brief
Latino Princetonians organized a salsa workshop in four sessions on May
9, 21, and June 5, 18. Light refreshments were offered, and on the last
session we held our end of the year reception.
The salsa workshops were taught On1, also known as L.A. style. The count
is 1-2-3, 5-6-7 for a total of 8 (4 and 8 are the slow parts). The rhythm is
quick-quick-slow, quick-quick-slow. The change of direction is on 1 and 5.
There is also salsa On2, known as N.Y. style. Here the count is 2-3-4, 6-7-
8. While the rhythm is the same, the change of direction is different, on 2
and 6. Check the following links to have a better idea:

Damaris for putting together the reception during the last session, taking care of the overall logistics of the series, the flyer, and the artwork. We could not have done it without you!
Ricardo Marquez and Arturo Perez for teaching the workshop series. You both are excellent instructors!
Those who shared their pictures.
Those who came, danced, and had fun!
