Introduction

The design of Ashray involves the responsibility of an architect to melange architecturewith sophisticated elements of technical know how and to make the space follow certainorder to satisfying purpose go in marking of an ideally designers village which caters to theneeds of orphanages.

The concept work on providing the environment in

which orphaned children can enjoy living conditions thatare as close as possible to those of normal family life.Architecture is at its highest form of accomplishmentwhen it can shelter humans in a way that is sensitive totheir culture, their community and their surroundings.Here the design fosters the integration of the childrenwith an exceptional environment, and the village feels asif it is owned and run by them.This gives them security and happiness, which is in turnreected in the large measure of civility, discipline andgood manners.

!n addition to the education given by the state schools, in the village itself the childrenget a training in various crafts" wood work, metal work, mechanics, sewing, or arts, such asphotography, or in farming and cattle rearing # which called for the building of the farm.!t is uni$ue in core for orphnas replacing traditional impersonal institutional orphanages,by a personalised domestic family life.
