Oman is the largest oil and natural gas producer in the Middle East that is not a part of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
Following the region’s continuing trend towards mega refining and petrochemical integration, the Sultanate is seeing the development of an industry that can support both a net export and a domestic market that manufactures a range of R&D rich products that will reduce dependence on imports.
The government has clearly outlined substantial investments in the downstream sector in its Economic Plan.
