Shannon Gallup M. Gardner English 10 0° 9 August 2014 Rematch Thud. Of heartbeat rippled through my body, Quaking with desire to vie for champion. Thud. Ears sensed nothing more. My mind, markedly Vacant, plagued by my duty to win. Let the cold snap, let the icy winds blow, I sense not, driven to drive out the less’r Oppugnant boats flanking from stern to bow. Inflamed by dead dreams of the antecessor I press on past advancing collapse. Dancing on the edge of my vision, one Elusive medal in splendor, none she lacks As the finish advances, I know that it’s gone Oh bronze, oh silver, it’s for gold that I thirst May next year I finish, not second, but first.
