In 1974, Cohen and Boyer developed a method for therecombination for DNA which is used by practically everybiochemist till this day. The researchers, however, were soanxious to be the first to publish in this hard-fought area ofknowledge that the benefits resulting from the protection oftheir method did not even occur to them.
