• Create a map of Australia. On your map, include pictures and descriptions of information from the handouts. Be prepared to explain your drawings and poster with your fellow travelers!!

What should you wear????

• Make a visual using the magazines to show people wearing clothing that you think is appropriate and inappropriate for student ambassadors to wear.

Dress Code• Daily Activity Wear• Examples of appropriate daily wear during program activities include:• Cotton or other non-denim slacks (black, blue, stone, or khaki colored)• Walking shorts (the appropriate length as determined by leaders)• Skirts (the appropriate length as determined by leaders)• Capris• T-shirts • Polo shirts• Athletic shoes or other comfortable, sturdy walking shoes. For safety

reasons, flip flops or other open-toe shoes are not recommended for daily walking

• Note: Jeans are not recommended but are acceptable for daily wear. They are heavy, bulky, and do not dry quickly. They also prove too hot for the summer weather in many of our destinations.

• Meetings with officials and special dinners or concerts require formal attire– Dress shirts, slacks, ties for boys (optional)– Dresses, skirts, or nice slacks for girls (still no

spaghetti straps)

• SwimwearGirls: one-piece or tankini best. When packing swimwear, keep modesty in mind. Suit must be covered by clothes or wrap on the way to and from swim area. If inappropriate you will be told to wear a t-shirt over suit.Boys: t-shirt must be worn at all times when on your way to and from swim area

Required dress for flights include: Khaki colored slacks or capris, People to People polo shirt, Closed-toe, comfortable shoesNote: No jeans, T-shirts, shorts, or open-toed shoes on flights.

Due to the potential for nightly meetings or other situations requiring you to leave your hotel room after you’ve changed into your nightwear, standards for appropriate dress need to be upheld at this time as well. Pajamas and other nightwear should be modest. For girls, pajamas should cover your body and your shoulders. Boys should wear a shirt with pajama bottoms when leaving the hotel room.

Packing Expectations

• Only 1 suitcase and 1 carry-on• Suitcase max – 54 inches (H+L+W)• Max suitcase weight – 44 lbs• Carry-on max – 39 inches (H+L+W)• Max carry-on weight – 11 lbs• Make sure you have P2P luggage tag

and your bag is clearly marked

Packing Expectations

• Liquids in suitcase in a bag to avoid spillage

• Leave extra room in suitcase to ‘expand’ as you travel

• Try to live out of suitcase for 1 week before you leave to ensure you have everything

• Take extra zip-lock bags for dirty clothes, wet clothes, emergencies (spills, breaks, etc)

Packing Expectations (tsa.gov)

• In your carry-on– All liquids and gels in one zip-lock baggie

(toothpaste, contact solution, etc.) • cannot be larger than quart size• Liquids no more than 3oz.

– No scissors, sharp objects, etc.– Lithium batteries and other batteries –

must be in carry-on. Extras must be in sealable plastic bags.

– Change of clothes in case of lost luggage– Gel shoe inserts - not permitted– Snow globes and decorations regardless

of size or amount of liquid inside.

someone come to our last meeting in May to exchange money/get debit

card
