library patrons to try out gadgets.
Our zoo will have several commonly used gadgets.• iPad• Kindle• More!
Patrons can learn about our library’s
digital ecosystem from petting zoo events.
DIGITAL ECOSYSTEM
A digital ecosystem describes technologies (gadgets or
computers) and software (applications or apps) that work
together to deliver content to an end user (library patron).• The El Paso Public Library has many digital offerings that
work in conjunction with other technologies, apps and even with social media.
• Not all ecosystems are compatible! • For example, apps for Apple won’t work on an Android.• Kindle books are best viewed on a Kindle or Kindle app.
You will learn what items work together as we continue
training.
