ORIENTATION DAY AT RENNERT

The first day of school is orientation day! Here you get to know all the other new students and the Rennert team. At the beginning of the day you get a form to fill in some important information about you. So don’t forget your passport, your student visa and your traveler insurance information! Afterwards, we had to take a grammar test to check our English level. To test our English speaking skills, we had an interview with a teacher from Rennert. Then Teresa, the Director of Education, told us about the history of Rennert, the schedules and the activities. We had a lot of fun!

I have to take a test? Oh no, I’m so nervous!

Afterwards, Teresa gave us a form to fill out some important information about us. Don’t forget your traveler insurance information!

Then we had to take the English test. Don’t worry! The Rennert team just wants to check which English course level is the best for you.

Then we had to go thru a short interview with one of the Rennert teachers. But don’t worry, they are very friendly. I just had to answer some questions about myself, my friends and my life in Germany.

After the interview, we had a break. I went with some girls to Dunkin’ Donuts. There, I had a delicious cream cheese bagel.

After lunch, we went back, and Teresa started a presentation about Rennert. I was very surprised by the fact that Rennert has been teaching languages since 1973!

Being able to tell the difference between a local and express train, and the difference between a local and express train stop is one of the most important things to learn. It will save you a lot of time and frustration. The express stops are indicated by a white circle on the map, while the local stops are indicated by a black circle. If you know this fact, you won’t have any problems with the subway!
