Next Steps of Action Pull everything out of the area that you will be using and thoroughly clean it.
Once the area is clean you need to decide what needs to go back into that area. This is when you sort into our 4 piles.● Keep it in the room. ● Store it for safe keeping in this room or some-
where else.● Donate it to a good cause or sell it.● Toss it out.

Think about what your PERFECT area would mean to you.
What are some of the elements needed such as:
● Desk ● Workbench ● Tables
● Chairs for Visitors ● Lighting ● Cupboards
● Shelves ● Copy machine ● Computer station
● Electrical outlets ● Space Heater ● Movable storage
Develop Your Plan
Now that you have dreamed of your Perfect work area it is time to develop your plan● You know what needs to be in the room and what
items you want to have in the room.● Design the floor plan; Place your largest Most
important item in the room first and arrange around it.
● Consider your electric and lighting needs● Use “Air Space” building shelves upward.
Take Advantage of Air Space
Use Door Space● The average 3 bedroom, 2 bath home has 9 -13 doors.
Use a Full Closet to house your work
Design For Productivity
● Remember the reason to work from home is to be productive.
● Keep Steps to a minimum. Ei; if you use the copier 10 times a day keep it near where you work, not in a different room.
● Schedule like activities in the same area to the same time frame whenever possible.
