• Database Analyst: responsible for designing and developing an organization's data flow models and database architecture. Although a database analyst may sometimes share administrative responsibilities with database administrators, analysts are normally responsible for designing the database schema which an organization will use to store and move business-critical data.

Course Requirements• 1. Required readings

– Relevant chapters of the text book.– Additional Readings handed out in class.

• 2. Assignments– There will be 6 assignments in this course. Assignments include one

case, programming, design, and individual writings. Students are expected to use the Oracle DBMS and Microsoft Access for the SQL programming.

• 3. Deliverables– All materials submitted for this course should look professional. Pages

should be typed, not handwritten.– Late penalty: 20% per day. Please hand in HWs on time– The due time is at the beginning of the class.
