1. Government business has a permanency that private industry does not.

2. Wages for approximately 270 positions, Over $7.8 million annually, based on payroll figures for the State Veterans Home in The Dalles which employs

– Necessary land– 35% match in hand – deadline ?

• Secure 65% match from the VA• Statewide hearings• Site selection• Construction bid process• Start construction

This process can take up to two years depending on the ability to secure Federal matching funds for construction
