Our course in- cludes FAST scanning in trauma, abdominal aorc assessment, ul- trasound guided vascular access and echo in life support as well as scanning for pneumothoraces. The course includes: Lectures covering the theorecal and praccal aspects of emergency ultrasound (lectures are provided on a USB sck to take home) Praccal teaching in small groups on normal subjects, real paents—depending on situaon—and simulators (e.g. vas- cular access simulaon model) Lots of hands onscanning pracce under the supervision of our experienced faculty Lots of clinical ps for success with ultrasound at the bedside and how to get the best images Advice on governance and on maintaining your ultrasound logbook of scans. A full day of intensive ultrasound teaching and practice aimed at the competencies for CORE (Level 1) Emergency Ultrasound as set out by the Royal College of Emergency Medicine.
