OUR 3 STRATEGIC AXES OF GROWTH
9
ANNUAL REPORT
PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
First Axis: Give our alumni opportunities to grow
In an environment in constant evolution, today’s management tools will
not necessarily work tomorrow. We are also more challenged than
ever.
We want to create a unique programme, relevant to all our alumni, and
strictly reserved for our members.
Each topic is treated with the same approach:
1 short event (« appetizer »), during an evening
1 long event (« workshop »), during a residential seminar 10
ANNUAL REPORT
PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
First Axis: Give our alumni opportunities to grow
First session was on Centered Leadership – April and September 2016
Second session on Inspirational Leadership – February & March 2017
Next Session: Organizational Leadership – May 2017
This programme was created by Isabelle LORIS
It is managed by Deborah LACHER
With the coordination of Fabienne BECKER

ANNUAL REPORT
MEMBERSHIP GROWTH AXIS
❖ We want our association to be more representative of our alumni and grow our membership (1762 members in 2016, or 7,5% of the alumni)
❖ We have taken actions in that direction
❖ A team of students from the school has been hired in February-March 2016 to systematically call alumni and convince them to become members
❖ Approximately 120 alumni paid/renewed their membership thanks to our phone calls
❖ Financially, the operation offered a small financial profit
❖ We have drawn lessons from this exercise and adapted it in 2017
❖ Focus call center on specific target-groups (by cohort)
❖ NEW: A direct-debit option is now offered. 20 subscriptions so far…
❖ Creation of Ernest AfterWork, a fun, recurring event with positive impact on membership
❖ Your ideas are always welcome!13

SCHOOLS DEVELOPMENT AXIS
Third Axis: We will help our Schools grow
❖ We supported our schools in various ways in 2016 (129k EUR):
❖ Solvay VUB Fellowship programme
❖ Joint schools’ ABIS membership
❖ From Solvay (printed magazine)
❖ SBS-EM Equis accreditation process
❖ Chairs at SBS-EM and at SBS-ES
❖ SBS-EM Strategic Workgroup
❖ Some projects won’t be renewed in 2017, some will be. We are in active conversations with the Schools to jointly identify where and how we can have the greatest impact.
❖ Reminder: 50% of our Congresses’ profits are dedicated to the Endowment, financing these projects, and other initiatives.
