Our regular meetings are over, but our annual Campout will be June 2 - 4 at the Lacombe Legion Sunset Campground.
CADETS (For boys in Grades 5 to Grade 9)
Though our regular meetings are over, we still
have a couple of events coming up. The Central Alberta Camp-out from June 2-4 and of course the International Camporee in July.

CHURCH BBQ – SUNDAY JUNE 11
Sunday, June 11 after church we will be having a church
BBQ to celebrate the completion of our year long Art
Project and also the Installation of our New Office Bearers.
The Church Life Committee will be BBQing Burgers and all
those members who last names begin with A-H bring a
dessert and last names beginning with I – Z bring a salad.

Calling all Secret Sisters and Mystery Men!
It’s almost time to reveal your secret. Mark Tuesday, June 13th
on your calendar’s. The evening is much more fun if everyone
can be there so please try your best to attend. Please RSVP to

Canola Crop—Support an Acre or Two
There are many costs with growing a crop, and we are looking to the congregation to help with this. For $200 an acre donation you can see your money grow. If you would like to be a part of the fundraiser, please place your donation in the building fund mail box (located on North wall in Church office) or Peter Den Oudsten’s mail box, with your cheques made out to Woody Nook CRC, designated to the crop project. Building Fund Debt Drive—Fundraiser!
I am a pampered Chef Consultant and I have decided to have a
fundraiser for the debt reduction drive. I have put an information
sheet in everyone’s mailbox explaining the fundraiser. My total
commission from this will go to the debt reduction. If you have any

Quadra Island—Work Wanted!
Quadra Servers are looking for work!! If you have any yard clean
up or other jobs that you could use a crew for, let us know! We are
looking for work to help fund our trip to Camp Homewood on

QUADRA ISLAND SERVE PROJECT! JULY 1-9, 2017
*Registration forms are available. Please pick them up from the
shelf by the office. Dates are Saturday July 1- Sunday July 9.
*This year registration fees are $100.00. It costs approximately $600
per person for this trip. Funds are raised by the registration fees, and
fundraisers. Be prepared to do some work to help fund the trip.
*We will be having an information meeting on SUNDAY MAY 28
after the service in the classroom by the kitchen. Bring your filled in
registration form to the meeting.
*Up Coming Work Bees: SATURDAY JUNE 3 and SATURDAY
JUNE 10. These will both be outside yard clean up jobs.

VBS Supplies Needed The VBS crew is looking for some of your recyclables! In order for the kids to make some fun crafts we are in need of a few items: • 2L pop bottles (100) • paper towel rolls (100) • cardboard (lots)--bigger chunks would be great! • we could also use donations of rope (6-10mm thick) • silver spray paint

Magdalene House Fundraiser

Magdalene House: A Home for the Recovery of Victims of

Financial Assistance for Studying the Ministry Are you studying, in the hopes of serving the Christian Reformed
Church in full-time ministry? Classis Alberta North’s Student Fund
Committee provides financial assistance in the form of forgive-able
loans to students in seminary or graduate studies, who intend to serve
the CRC after graduating. If you would like to apply for the 2017-18

SONRISE CAMP
~ Are you looking for a great place to send your teens for a week this
summer? Then look no further! Sonrise Camp is a rustic camp that is
located just minutes from Rocky Mountain House and is run by First
Christian Reformed Church of Rocky. We provide a week of Bible
lessons, WIDE games, trips to a local lake, exciting out trips and
much, much more, all guided by our caring Christian counselors! We
offer two camps; one for 10 - 12 year olds from July 9 - 14, 2017 and
one for ages 13 - 15 from July 16 - 21, 2017. If you would like more

Rehoboth Camp—Help Wanted! Camp Rehoboth provides a one-week camp experience for people
with disabilities (and a week of respite for their caregivers). It is a
life-changing and faith-building week for the campers and for the
volunteers as well. Come and be a special friend to someone with a
developmental disability and show them the love of Christ, and at the
same time enjoy our beautiful camp facility. We are looking for
counsellors for the following weeks:
R&R (more relaxed week) (July 2-7), Adult 1 (July 8-14) , Adult 2
(July15-21), Independent (July 22-28), Youth (July 29-Aug 4)

Day of Encouragement (DOE) news: There will be two western Canada, DOE firsts happening this year that you will not want to miss. The Executive Director of our denomination will be the Keynote speaker, come out to hear from Steven Timmermans. Also, Diaconal Ministries Canada will be holding its annual AGM out west for the first time. Remember November and mark your calendars for Saturday November 4, 2017.
