BASIC BIBLE STUDY
COURSE I
BOOK 3
Spiritual wisdom, divine understanding, and heavenly knowledge are revealed by the spirit of God to his people who have an open heart. This is the origin of the Holy Scriptures. The spirit and truth of God must be taken together and balanced as intellect and emotion in our lives. We are to love
God with all of our heart (feelings) and all of our mind (thoughts). In spirit and in truth is the only acceptable way to worship God. Jn. 4:23,24.

HOW TO BENEFIT FROM THIS BOOK
We need to learn the Word of God in order to obey the Word of God. This is not a denominational course but truly a Bible course. Satan will try to overwhelm you with a feeling of apathy or else try to make you too busy. You must place this in top priority in your life. You will not accidentally find time and a place for the study of God’s Word. You will have to make room and take time. Find a place in your home that is at least semi-private, comfortable, and well lighted. Designate a definite time in your schedule for this important study. Prepare your heart and mind by prayer each time before you start. The Bible is a spiritual book and you need to be aware of the Spirit of God ministering the word to your heart. You will get more out of it this way. Immediately apply to your life what you learn each time. Also share it with someone else. You could phone a friend and tell them what you are studying. You will receive credit toward a degree for this course.

V CHURCH
The Lord Jesus Christ founded his own church among men as a world wide institution, and it should be called after him. This great universal church of Jesus Christ is made up of every born-again believer over the face of the earth; composed of local assemblies of Saints where even two or three are gathered together in his name. Instrumental music is prescribed in the Scriptures to accompany worship.
The church is best governed by male elders among the gift ministries of Apostles and teaching and also administer the sacraments of water baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
Tithing is recommended and helpful, but not forced legalistically.
The church should be constantly and fervently engaged in increasing the degree of it’s spiritual quality by united prayers, fasting with wisdom, holiness, exorting one another unto devotion and consecration; and also continuously and zealously active in adding to it’s own number through personal soul-winning work, witnessing to sinners everywhere, and Gospel evangelism by all means possible. Any and every day is suitable for meetings.
The church is separate from civil authority, and subject to political state as long as loyalty to God and conscience is preserved, but retains all authority in it’s own spiritual affairs, thus respecting religious liberty for all.

VI THE PLAN OF THE END
The Lord Jesus shall come again at an uncertain time in like manner as he ascended into heaven (literally, physically, and visibly) in the clouds with power, great glory, and angels to catch away or rapture his elect unto heaven to receive rewards. This will be accomplished by the resurrection of the dead saints and the translation of the living saints.
Then will follow seven years of extreme world trouble, called the tribulation, under dictatorship of the Anti-Christ, who will be Satan possessed. He will persecute the Jews, climaxing in an international war against Israel, called the Battle of Armageddon, fought in the Holy Land.
After this Christ will come with his angels and saints in firey vengeance to destroy the wicked out of the earth and set up his kingdom. The saints will reign with Christ for 1,000 years in peace and righteousness, while the devil is bound in the bottomless pit, unable to tempt people. After this glorious golden age of global peace and blessings satan shall be loosed a short season. Satan will to out to deceive the nations and will rally an attack upon Christ and the Holy city, the New Jerusalem, which will result in his final overthrow by fire from heaven. Then the devil will be cast into the lake of fire permanently.
All the unsaved people of all ages will be bodily resurrected to pass in review before the Great White Throne of Almighty God to be judged according to their deeds, and then will be cast out from the presence of the Lord they rejected.
The old heaven and earth shall pass away and a new heaven and new earth shall appear and thus eternity shall have begun.
