orAnGe is a quarterly online fashion look book
magazine birthed and raised in the Australian
capital by micheylang Designs. fundamentally
about fashion and styling, this small online
magazine also aims to showcase the capitals
beautiful scenery along with its talented youth.
A new year comes with new beginnings, new challenges, and new goals. this year i want to dedicate more of my time to my family and to myself. i basically work four jobs: two full-time and two part-time. with that comes little time for anything or anyone. i want to be able to have time to engage in other interests and follow my other passions. And in doing so, i have to let some of that work load go.
if you don’t know, this magazine began at the start of 2014 as my way of keeping myself motivated and busy whilst looking for a job. it was my way of showcasing not just the canberra community talent, but also mine to potential employers. in the end, i was successful and did land a job, however, at the time I had just released the first issue of Orange and didn’t want it to end so soon. four issues on, i have met an amazing bunch of people with soooo much talent and got to experience something many people may not have the opportunity to go after. i believe in following your dreams and doing what you think is right at the time, and right now i feel like it’s the time for new beginnings and to allow new opportunities to flow my way. In saying that, I am saddened to say, this will be the last issue of the Orange Lookbook Magazine. However, seeing as i have such a passion for fashion i am still going to be doing blog posts on my website and linking them to all the Orange Lookbook social media outlets. i do hope you continue to follow Orange as it takes this slight turn and to always remember...

depending on your physique, this sweet heart neckline will need a necklace to accompany the dress. i would suggest if you have too much space between your chin and the dress neckline and aren’t as fortunate to have collar bones like our dear Kate, then a large necklace; a collection of chains or a statement necklace, would be perfect. the colour is up to you. note: whatever necklace you choose, it must sit either slightly higher or lower than half way between the dress neckline and your chin. directly centered creates too much symmetry. if you are short and don’t have collar bones, therefore the space between the dress neckline and your chin isn’t very large, a thin simple necklace is suggested to break up the blank space.
this dress works for most body type except those with very large hips, as the fabric is stiff and would fall further away from the body, making you appear larger than you actually are. On that note this dress would best suit those in need of some curves. if the fabric were lightweight, however, it would be perfect for all body types.

if you haven’t noticed yet, a statement piece is always the key to a well put together outfit, whether it is a colour or pattern that stands out. neutralising
everything else is what makes the outfit work and not over complicated.

this outfit could absolutely be matched with simple sliver accessories. the colour isn’t necessary.

plain and simple and so easy to wear. Let the colour do all the work. don’t over do it. Light jewellery and simple accessories such as the black belt with a touch of gold works perfectly with this outfit. pair this outfit with simple black shoes; heels or flats, and you’re ready to go. perfect for casual or cocktail wear.

tan is becoming the new accessory colour; although like black or white, it can never compare. to be a little different this time and to stray from the classics, however, i thought pairing the tan accessories would add that touch. a cream handbag and shoes would create a more elegant feel to this outfit whilst black accessories
would convert it into something more corporate.
