Oracle Prime
Projects Cloud Service
Oracle Prime Projects Cloud Service is an enterprise solution that allows
users to manage scope, schedule, cost, resource and risk information of a
project. Real-time visibility to project cost, schedule, risk and performance
information allows project managers and stakeholders to make the right
decisions. In-built enterprise social collaboration such as share and
discussions allow project teams to communicate effectively in real time and
manage project planning, monitoring, execution processes efficiently. Flexible
and powerful dashboard and reporting capabilities allow stakeholders to have
critical information at their fingertips.

Manage Project Scope (Scope Management)
Project managers need a set of tools that will allow them to manage the scope of work
that needs to be accomplished to deliver a product or services. Prime Projects cloud
service allows project managers and schedulers to plan and manage all aspects of
scope during a project’s lifecycle including equipment installation, laying of cables and
lines, or project documentation, etc..,..
Project managers, schedulers and other stakeholders of the project can plan, manage
and monitor project deliverables effectively utilizing the features of scope management.

Progress measurement techniques such as physical % complete and rules of credit
can be used to measure scope progress. Quantity-based progress can be assigned to
individual scope to capture progress % complete.

Cost Management
Cost management allows project managers and key stakeholders to capture budget,
perform forecast analysis, and predict impending expenses to help reduce the chance
of going over budget. Oracle Prime Projects cloud service offers a 100% cloud tool that
allows project managers to manage basic to complex cost management scenarios.

Prime Projects utilizes a spreadsheet like interface to manage project budget, budget
changes and transfers. Interacts with various parts of the project to provide a single
location to manage project cost including forecast information.

Cost management is an integral part of Prime offering functional capabilities that form
the backbone of project controls.
Schedule Management
Project planning and scheduling are two key elements of effective project
management. A well-developed project schedule allows project managers to manage
project milestones, deliverables and timeline effectively.
Prime Schedule Management is a cloud based tool that is well integrated with other
modules to provide a comprehensive project management solution.

Interactive activity Gantt charts allow planners, schedulers and project managers to
communicate a more accurate and complete graphical representation of a project’s
schedule in real time over the cloud. Integration with capabilities of Prime allows users
to keep track of project scope, resource assignment and perform resource and role
leveling.
Resource Management
Resource Management is an integral part of project management. Prime Projects
cloud service allows project managers to manage hierarchy based resource and roles
per project. Prime will also allow customers to manage these roles and resources at
enterprise level and allow project managers to utilize them on need basis at project
level.
Resources and Roles can be assigned to activities as part of resource assignment
capabilities allowing project managers to resource load the project schedule.

Resource Analysis can be performed to determine over and underutilization of both
resources and roles. Visual representation of resource and role assignment analysis in
the form of histograms will allow project managers to determine where resources are
under or over utilized.

assignment to minimize over or under utilization.
Risk Management
Risk Management provides the necessary tools that allow project professionals to
manage risk easily and successfully. Prime Projects cloud service offers the following

Risk register to view and prioritize project risk.
Tools to define risk thresholds and scoring matrices for qualitative analysis.

The risk sensitivity data is displayed for the project cost and finish date including
viewing options for the sensitivity results.
Work Management
Prime Work Management provides set of tools to improve the coordination and
planning process between planners, supervisors and field users. The tools provide
more control to field users to decide how to execute their work with minimal waste.
The Work Plan interface allows supervisors, planned and field users to come together
and work on a single plan. The module will allow users to create tasks under a
“Hopper” and associate it with an activity.

During the planning cycle, tasks can be dragged and placed on planning board. Drag a
task to different weekly bucket. Commit to perform a task on a specific due date.
Complete a task that is done. Recommit a task that is not done. Provide reasons for
not completing a task as committed. Finally, monitor weekly planned percent complete
and reasons metrics in dashboard.

Mobile Interface
A native, purpose-built mobile application provides users with a rich, targeted user
interface and experience.

Device specific capabilities such as camera support, offline mode, and notifications can
be leveraged to address various business needs.

Field engineers and installation crews can provide real time updates of project scope
and activities that allows Project Managers and others to monitor and keep track of the
progress.
Field users can also access documents that are linked to project scope and activities to
get their job done.

Field users can easily create, plan and status tasks created under Work Plan. Users
will be able to access these tasks from job sites and provide update. The updates
provided by these users will help project planners and supervisors with real time
information about the progress of the work.

Document Management
Prime includes a robust document manager module. Whether high-level basis-of
design documents or detailed specifications, all documentation utilizes tight permission
controls to manage access across the enterprise. Features include check-in and
check-out, version control, and full text search for more than 500+ document types.
Built-in document viewing technology which allows users to view all type of documents
without the need to install a native application.

Ability to sync project documents from the user’s desktop without additional client
software provides extended flexibility for users to upload documents without logging
