highlight of our tour as we enjoy a time of worship and communion.

Day 11, Sun, Nov 12—Our final day in Yerushalayim begins at the Israel Museum to see a model of first-century Yerushalayim. Next we walk through Yad Vashem, the Hol-ocaust Museum, in honor of the millions murdered by the Nazis. At the Friends of Zion Museum, enjoy ground-breaking technology. Through interactive displays that ap-pear to come to life, meet biblical figures and others both from history and modern day who, through their faith, helped to create the bond between the Jewish and Chris-tian peoples. We end the day in Joppa, one of the oldest cities in the world, the home of Simon the Tanner, and the port from which the prophet Jonah set sail for Tarshish. Enjoy a farewell dinner as we reflect on our time together in Israel and transfer to the airport for our late night depar-ture.

Day 12, Mon, Nov 13—Depart Tel Aviv just after midnight and arrive in Portland via San Francisco with a lifetime of memories of our Journey to the Holy Land.

Day 5, Mon, Nov 6—Today we see We leave the Galilee area and drive down the Jordan Valley to explore Beit Shean. Walk through this ancient city and see a gymnasium, bath-house, theatre, public toilets, shops and temples. We drive by Mt. Gilboa, site of Saul’s death, and visit the natural springs where Gideon brought ten thousand to be tested. Not far from Jericho, on the banks of the Jordan River, is Qsar el Yahud. This is the area believed to be the place where Yeshua was baptized. Continue to the Dead Sea for an evening of relaxation.

Day 6, Tues, Nov 7—Today is free to relax, to take advantage of the spa facilities, or to float in the naturally therapeutic Dead Sea water.

Day 7, Wed, Nov 8—This morning we tour the famous ar-chaeological site of Masada, an ancient fortress where Jew-ish Zealots made their last stand against Rome in 73 AD, then continue to Ein Gedi to see the waterfalls where David hid from Saul. Drive to Yerushalayim and stop for a magnificent view of the city from Mt. Scopus. We arrive at our hotel in Yerushalayim where we stay for the remainder of our tour.

Day 8, Thurs, Nov 9—We start today at the Mount of Olives, then walk down the Palm Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane. We see the Pools of Bethesda, where Yeshua healed the lame man, then continue through the Old City following the Via Dolorosa through the Old Arab Markets to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, one of the sites believed to be the burial place of Yeshua. Enjoy free time this after-noon in the Old City, then continue to Mount Zion to visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, Caiaphas’ House, where Yeshua was held before trial, and see the ancient steps cut into the hill that led to the city.

Day 9, Fri, Nov 10—We begin our day at new excavations of the City of David where we see some of the most exciting archeological finds of the ancient world. Archeologists have found what they believe is King David’s Palace that has been undisturbed for over 3,000 years. We end our tour of the City of David at the recently discovered Pools of Siloam, where Yeshua healed the blind man. At the Davidson Center we enjoy a virtual tour of the Second Temple, then explore the Temple Southern Steps. These steps were the only en-trance for all who visited the Temple during the time of Ye-shua. This evening we celebrate Shabbatat the Western Wall. Day 10, Sat, Nov 11—Driving just outside of Yerushalayim we see the Elah Valley, the site of the battle of David and Goliath.
