GOES Re-Broadcast (GRB)

– Currently the “GVAR” data stream from the Imager and Sounder

• Level-1B Data . . . Calibrated and Earth-located IR, and Normalized and Earth-Located Visible

– GRB will be generated from the ABI & ABS (or GIFTS) as Level-1B Data Set

• May be various ‘flavors’ of GRB (high-rate and low-rate)

• GRB may NOT contain ALL ABI/ABS Data

“GVAR” to GRB Transition

• GVAR continues as long as a GOES-I/Q spacecraft is operational

• GRB becomes active with GOES-R

• Creation of Pseudo-GVAR is being considered to aid transitions during the period when there is one GOES-I/Q spacecraft and one GOES-R spacecraft operational
